Topic: What does 'simple' mean?

I keep coming across profiles (women, in my case) where the person describes themselves as 'simple'. I have no idea what I'm supposed to glean from that.

Are they saying they are stupid, or there is no depth to their personality, or they live a minimalist lifestyle, or what? Except perhaps for the last of those, it doesn't sound appealing but perhaps I am dismissing profiles of people who might be compatible.

My take on that is that they are uncomplicated, humble and are happy with what they’ve got.

Most likely it means they are minimalists, that they are not high maintenance. They live simple, drama free lives.

But, "simple" is subjective, it can mean different things to each of the women who posts it.

Best way to know is to ask them what simple means to them. Consider leaving out your own interpretation though... asking them if it means stupid or having no depth might not go very well, lol.

Good luck in your query. waving

It likely means they are not toxic and complicated which is the opposite of most women these days. Westernized modern women are the most toxic. Your best bet is to go to Asia to get a good girl since they are less corrupted there, but don't let her get corrupted once she moves to whatever western nation. Females are more easily corrupted than males so be careful with her.

These 'simple' women are not so simple. You find that it's a bait. And it confuses so much that to some extent you are not on the same lane, while you are dating a supposedly simple person, but you find that she is way too complicated and wants a high kind of lifestyle that can't be described as simple. So you are left simpling (lol) while she is high up there....and you find that you are not compatible, just because of a confusion which could have been dealt with if one was very open enough, not hiding....my 2 sense.

If in a profile it's says "simple" means either she is really simple or a alert as another "Sample"
In today's life it's hard to describe that over women as better is keep mouth :grimacing:..

Simple means as Simple as anything .
Identify the Essential and Eliminate the Rest .

The only toxic thing in this thread is you...you
must get rejected a LOT.

Totally understandable.

Now go peddle your misogyny somewhere else, it
does not fly here.

I do believe that the majority of women use the
term 'simple' to tell you they are drama-free
as so many males request that condition.

They tell you what you want to hear.
You are better off with a pet.

I second what Soufie said to you. You're the most toxic male I've seen on here in a long time and the hate you spout time and again has no place here.
As Soufie said, "go peddle your misogyny somewhere else, it does not fly here."
In other words, PO and don't bother us with you negativity and hate. Maybe spend that time with a shrink. Might do you some good.

My take is similar to Delightful's: they mean to say they're uncomplicated, easy-going and happy with what they have in life.

It would not mean minimalist way of living to me.

When I see a profile where a woman describes herself as "simple", I assume she doesn't have a good grasp of simple English and means something else entirely, perhaps "uncomplicated" or "easy going".

Oh yeah, what Soufie said

In Ireland, a person who is called "simple" is someone, who is not very intelligent. But it's more in a pity sense, not even meant offensive.

But lashing out to all gals in the western world in such a way is just plain wrong.

There is good and bad in every part of the world, women and men. End of
