The DOJ will charge if or when they have enough evidence lined up to support the case. The Statute of Limitations gives the DOJ years, so they'll probably take their time, and Trump's already being investigated for several (but probably not all) of his crimes just over the past few years, and it'll probably take a while, but if Republicans get back into the majority, they'll cover up and kill the investigations for Trump's crimes where they can.

I only meant the Congressional investigation, not the DOJ or Georgia AG investigations. Republicans will very likely try to kill any and all investigations into Trump's criminal exploits and we're probably not even halfway through the things Trump should be investigated for.

Speaking from England, I find it amusing that everyone the US seems to love one party and hate the other. All the previous posters in this and others on the subject prove my point. They all go on about how wonderful their preferred party is and how terrible the other lot is. In England we laugh at our prime minister, whichever side we are on. We don't take our politics so seriously. Issues about guns and religion don't feature over here, thank goodness.

An an outside observer of American politics, I giggle at these things that are taken so seriously. It occurs to me that the order to remove these documents actually came from the Republican side to give the trumpites more to criticise - i.e. it's just another propaganda move to increase the chances of another trump victory. All those who blame the democrats for this event are missing the point!

Of course you are aware of Hillary destroying emails on her blackberry phones. But you fall into the category of dis- believers. I've read that from these politics blogs, but "destroying emails" doesn't sound all that criminal to me, considering I delete literally hundreds of emails every day. Have you never deleted spam email? Several members of Trump's cabinet used private email and deleted tens or hundreds of thousands of emails, even after attacking Hillary for doing that, so I'm not convinced that her emails matter at all, beyond something for you to change the subject with. Go ahead and point out, if you can, which law was broken by Hillary's emails, and then tell me how that same law cannot be used against Trump or his administration staff.

James comey said there were classified emails that were deleted after she was told to preserve those emails for later investigation .but in his liberal mind no one in their right mind would charge her, especially if you are in her corner and literally using his power to stop her opponent . I don’t think Trump is being investigated for deleting emails.

The emails deleted were determined by Hillary's lawyers to be not work-related. And even though Comey says some of the deleted emails were recovered and found to be work-related, they were also duplicates of other emails that were turned over. There's no evidence that Hillary or her lawyers tried to hide information and nobody's found evidence that Hillary deliberately mishandled classified information. That's why no charges were pressed.

As far as Trump emails, he famously doesn't use email. His staff did, including personal, commercial accounts, deleting tons of them, as if they forgot about their complaints about Hillary's emails, but even if they wanted to investigate Trump Administration email policy, it'd take a back seat to all the other crimes being investigated. DId you know the count of classified documents recovered from MAL is now over 700?!

700 or 33,000. So what, Trump said all documents were declassified by him, the President. Period… . As far as Hillary goes her whole political life should be investigated but that’s for another time .Besides most Americans know how crooked she is, you can’t sweep a brick under the rug and make it disappear.

Oh please. Trump has been caught with hundreds of classified documents stolen from the White House, stored illegally and then held even after he was told to give them back. If it were anybody but a former President, they'd be locked up and looking at life in prison!

Hillary's already been investigated for decades--she's a favorite Republican boogeyman. No way for her to get away with anything, and yet she remains unindicted.

Hunter's tax investigation continues, but he's not pleading the 5th unlike others. His laptop seems fascinating to you people, but even at worst, there's nothing criminal on it. If somebody were to parse some comment in one of the remaining files on it, they think that Hunter sold access to his dad to foreign parties. Trumps did that every chance they had and we don't even need to rebuild a laptop to find out. Trump tripled fees at Mar A Lago to cash in on that, and that place is infested with Chinese and Russian spies.

The evidence was right there, classification cover sheets and all! I get that you trust and admire President Trump, but can you explain how what he's done is not illegal?

Since when do you care about evidence, although Nobody knows what the FBI found you seem to have already convicted Trump. But you give Hunter a pass even though the FBI has said that the Hunter Biden laptop was not Russian disinformation. Now we learn that the FBI urged Facebook to cover-up the credible reports of said laptop right before the 2020 election… Do you think Biden is telling the truth about he has never discussed his sons business dealings. It doesn’t pass the smell detector. You are right about one thing, some people will believe anything. Especially the democrats that are backtracking on crime, police support and drugs coming across the border.

Since when have I not cared about evidence? Hunter's laptop may be evidence, but it's also heavily compromised, tampered with by the shop owner, and who knows who else? There certainly wasn't any chain of custody documentation. Files copied or moved on the drive and other files corrupted. The fact that the FBI hasn't recommended further action leads me to believe that it's not much for evidence, and even the most salacious reports I've seen don't even amount to a crime, but just that maybe Hunter, and/or Joe got paid to meet some people.

Thanks to all the attention to Hillary's emails, many of us actually read the federal laws that Republicans told us she broke. Those laws require intention--as in intention to take, store, hide, misuse or whatever. Simply having a document on one's mail server is not necessarily a crime, but having a document that plainly shows its classification, in a box, taken from the White House, and after being asked by the National Archives to return those boxes, only returning 15 of the 37 boxes, looks like a big deal to me, and is clearly a violation of the law that you MAGA-heads claimed Hillary committed.

But yeah. In the end, it won't matter what you or I believe, but what the DOJ can show a jury. Trump will probably be locked up in prison until the next Republican president pardons him.
