NIFOYC costs too much, hihi ---> I'd have to turn up the heating significantly and gas isn't cheap! Valentine's day would be fun when seeing someone, or having a partner, and getting a card with a loving message in it, or flowers or something else small & sweet. To me it's not related to dating. It would be better even to receive a small gift or card on the day -anonymously- without seeing someone that day. My appreciation for a man would go up a notch if he did something like that, hihi. Valentine's Day is about small tokens of love and/or interest. Although it would be a great moment for being proposed to!

That's also how most people think about it, commercial BS. But it's gaining in popularity now that many people purchase things online. It has never been really popular over here. I don't watch tv so I don't know about advertisements. But I wouldn't expect jewellery.

Better to enjoy your own company than waste it and your time on someone who doesn’t appreciate either. Forget NIFOYC, walk around the house naked and enjoy it.
