I've started S02 of A Remarkable Place to Die it's getting a wee bit more in-depth and although every episode is 'self contained' there is a lot of ongoing drama going on with the characters.. which is giving it a nice flow..

Focusing on the last of the War of the Roses.

Me's thinking that life for women was so incredibly hard in those days. You just never had real safety, not even as queen consort.

And even as queen consort having to except that your husband would sleep with loads of other women, or if he wished had a favourite mistress for years on end.
We have men watching porn these days, a somewhat milder version of that, but equally disastrous to a relationship.
You were prolly better of as a poor woman, wife of a peasant or something.

In any case a really good series. Drama & intrigue was part of that history.

although I have Lioness's latest season, haven't yet started watching it.. Marshalls S02 just started dropping as well.. I'm not so much into Dutton Ranch tho..

OT: Started watching Neagley S01 it's not bad.. Reacher is in the first episode which is a cool way to start.. but haven't gotten too far into the season enough to form a proper opinion yet..

binge watched all 6 episodes of Dustfall 2026 miniseries starring Anna Torv and Jay Ryan

Detective Tig returns to her coastal hometown and uncovers drink-spiking assaults, pushing her into a dangerous investigation where hidden predators and broken systems threaten the truth.

it's an australian series that although held it's cards close to it's chest, wasn't quite as good as holding it's secrets of "who donnit" to the very end.. sadly I figured out who the culprits were all too quickly.. there were so many tells..

anywho.. IMDb gave this a 7.7.. I concur with the assessment

just finished binge watching The Diplomat S04 great show.. all 8 episodes dropped Thursday and I finished them yesterday.. the ending was mind blowing.. but a great show if you like political dramas..

IMDb gives it an 8/10.. I lean more to 9.5-10 on this one..
