the vast majority of messages sent to me are girls in their 20's & 30's (gold diggers?). women in age range I've posted , simply don't respond. I'm thinking if I got a response outright rejecting me would make my day, at least that would resemble life outside of the matrix.

It looks like a good basic profile. More photos is a plus. And try not to have any "no responses". You also have to remember one thing on messages. No response is a response.

In my opinion, your profile could use a spruce. More pictures (not just a bunch of head shots, but a variety).

Your bio needs more information. Don't just say you like the outdoors; be specific about what you like doing outdoors. And surely must have other interests besides being in the outdoors. Write about what makes you unique. Maybe work on your spelling and grammar. If you need help with that, please let me know (I'm a teacher). It matters to some women. Best of luck to you!

I don't get what you meant by "try not to have any no responses". As long as girls have pics posted I respond , and point out my profile preference on age to the far younger. I respond to all, with pic, primarily because we're all putting ourselves out there and in so doing create a responsibility to ourselves and others to respond with text.

You don't tell anything much about yourself, nor about the kind of woman you want other than age.
If you don't make at least a bit of an effort you can't expect much to happen either.
It's a profile you cast a very brief glance at then quickly move on.
Having a decent photo is also a plus, take of the head wear, and try to smile. Don't take it personal, I'm just telling what I'm seeing and what might be of help to you, but the photo makes you look like a bum. That's not what a woman will go for.
