Late tonight (CET) the moon is full again, mainland 1.44, UK an hour earlier just after midnight 00.45 ish.

GENERAL INFO:
Emotional healing is a big theme when the Full Moon occurs in the sign of Pisces on 21st September. Your imagination could go wild – creatively or obsessively – so if your moods feel extra intense around this time you’ll know why. A good cry could be cathartic! Be aware that you may pick up too much of other people’s negative energy now too, so set safe limits if others appear to encroach upon your personal space, and avoid being a β€˜space invader’ yourself. This Full Moon has come to be known as the Harvest Moon. That makes September an ideal month to harvest the results of all the creative seeds you’ve sown or projects you started at the time of the Pisces New Moon back in March.

Tomorrow in China is Mid-Autumn Festival (a.k.a. Harvest Moon Festival). It takes place on the 15th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar. Traditions include family reunions, moon gazing, and sharing β€œmoon cakes,” traditional round pastries made with a variety of sweet fillings. The moon cakes are often cut into pieces equal in number to the number of family members, reinforcing family togetherness.

I lived in China for four years and this was one of my favorite holidays there. The parents of my students would give me boxes of moon cakes. A really fun tradition, although not very delicious. laugh

Last chance to see this moon tonight, but it's quite cloudy tears
Maybe I'll get lucky though. Wouldn't be the first time!

YAY!! I saw it on the way home from the garage when it was just on the rise! A huge orange ball above the horizon, beautiful.
Now it's also completely visible and clear, a beautiful bright moon in the sky!

I missed the peak of her fullness last night, but there was a brief moment when the moon peaked out from the clouds. It was beautiful. Would have been a fantastic picture if not for all the porch lights that were on.

Right now, I'm sitting here at my desk with the full moon shining in the window. The sky is nice and clear. I went outside for a short time to bask in the moonlight and do a little grounding ritual, it's a tad too cold to stay out for too long, haha. I remembered to hang my gemstone necklace in the window, it got a really nice moon bath throughout the night, can't wait to wear it today. smile2

That's a cool idea to hang your necklace in the window. I know some people who make mala beads out of crystals often lay them out under the moon at certain times of the month. I think it's really neat.

Nice! When I was in New Hampshire, I'd lay all my gemstones and crystals out on a table in the backyard. I can't do that here at the dorms, but I do have a few on the window ledge.

Glad you got to enjoy it, River!
I felt lucky to see it rise when it was still huge and orange! Hadn't seen that in a while as I cannot see that from within the village. I'd have to take the car and drive out of the village so I have a clearer view.
Great idea with the necklace!
I haven't put any crystals in the window this time.

That's awesome Crystal, I'm happy for you as well.

I can't wait to get back to the Keys, watching the moon rise over the ocean was always so amazing.

Oh, I bet that's great! I could drive to the beach which is around the corner but I'd be looking direction England which is not where the moon rises, haha.
I have seen it rise over water but not the sea.

BTW when will you be leaving?? And will you drive all the way down there?

It is great. I just realized I will be camping on the beach in Destin on the night of the full moon in October. happy It's the Gulf side though, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to see the moon rise, but it will still be beautiful once it does rise. love

I just found out I can leave on October 13th, instead of the 14th. And yes, I will be driving the whole way. I'm planning on making a few stops, so it will be about a two week journey. I'll be posting my plans in my travel thread.

Oh that's good to take 2 weeks for the journey! Might as well make it fun and relaxed and see some things along the way :)
I'll keep an eye on your travel thread!
