Topic: Full Moon August 22nd | |
---|---|
We're in the midst of the full moon energies again!
Full moon in Aquarius on the 22nd. Over here at 14:02 so US EDT should be around 8:02. So fa I'm doing okay, but I am a bit sleepy/tired. Thank goodness no physical pains (yet). But the energies seem to be a bit weird? I thought a few times, "It's almost as if Mercury is Rx." But it isn't. Just odd things, in traffic, people seeming to drive somewhat erratic. I saw a sign at a petrol station with the prices. It should say something like "1.80" with slight variations per petrol type. But it said... "8.88" and "8.83"??? The other side of it was normal, but that one side wasn't. Really weird. That's more Mercury Rx stuff. Anywho, I saw the moon rise just now, a gorgeous deep golden yellow/orange. I SO enjoy seeing that, every time, hihi. The sky isn't entirely clear, but I get to see the moon or sections of it every now and then :) Enjoy! And share what you notice if you like! |

Im not into the zodiac signs but I could have swore that Aquarius was February and not August. We're talking full moon, not zodiac signs :) As for zodiac signs, you are correct. Aquarius is part January and February. Zodiac signs are based on the sun's cycle so that's a different thing. This is about the moon's cycle and the constellation it's in when full. It happens to be the 2nd Aquarius full moon this year, like the last one in July. That doesn't happen often. |

I saw it coming up just over the hilltop near my house Friday night.... it was awesome! So huge and orange
Wish I had a really good camera to capture a good photo of it, my phone just doesnโt do it justice! Got a good view of Jupiter too! But I do have some really good binoculars that I was able to get a good view with. Hopefully the neighbors didnโt think I was spying on them! Itโs really cloudy tonight so I canโt see anything |

Itโs really cloudy tonight so I canโt see anything Wonderful that you got to see it rise like that! And yes, a good camera... I sometimes can get a clear picture that shows the dark spots in the moon with my phone but doesn't work every time I try. Still not sure how I pull it off, hihi. And it is of course still far away. I thought of getting a camera that can do that stuff, but decided against it as I wouldn't use it often enough. As for neighbours or other people... I've stood in front of the window, watching the moon and often to connect with the moon, while people walked past the house. I did get odd looks Stupid thing is, they don't even turn their heads to check what I'm looking at? Most people seem to be totally unaware of nature's wonders. |

Iโve always been intrigued by all the phases of the moon Itโs so amazing that man has actually walked on its surface all those years ago! I can imagine what the earthโs view was from there Iโm looking at some telescopes that I would like to get sometime soon. Iโd definitely be putting it to use all the time! I donโt care what the neighbors thinkj It is a shame that some people are unaware of the beauty of nature that surrounds them |

I like the moon too, but mostly the full moon.
I remember seeing the full moon when I was living in the Aboriginal community at Uluru. The skies so clear there, the stars always appearing as if at a mere arm's length away! Looking at the moon in all its beauty I thought of my dad, a big lover of nature who passed that on to me. I felt connected to him while he was at home in The Netherlands, me in Aus, thinking he could see the same moon. Hence us being connected via the moon It made me smile. Later on when I was back in The Netherlands he told me he often looked at the full moon when I lived abroad, and thought the exact same thing! So we actually had been connecting via the full moon for real, in spite of distance & different time zones (hope it makes sense, I'm quite tired & sleepy as it's 1:11 as I write this) |
