Aw, she soooooooo cute!

Thank you!
You won't believe the baws she has! Yesterday feeding time. Bailey was eating, I was doing hers. The moved so close to Bailey and even tried to put her head in his bowl?!
Unbelievable! My mistake too, I should've had her food already in her bowl to avoid that. But who expect that from a kitten?

Oh yeah, boxes

Or even these plastic rings, which seal the top part of a milk bottle. Another all time favourite toy of my cats bigsmile

But their favourite toy is a little ball with a bell inside rofl

My cat’s favourite toy was a scrunched up newspaper tied with string. He used to carry that everywhere.

He used to love plastic carrier bags too and liked to be carried around in one slaphead

Simple things are always the best I reckon.

Hihi, you can say that again!
She's got to learn that some things are not okay. I think it's going to take time to get there though haha. It's going to require a lot of patience & tenacity from my side. And I do not excel at having patience tongue2

I got a bell like that too. My other cats never cared for it when little, and Nila isn't interested in it either.
I bought rocking balls that don't roll in a straight line... no interest. Better to give an old shoe and a box, hahaha. She chose those herself btw.

What she is nuts about... a mouse! I got four. One stays upstairs, and the others I use when one is under a cupboard or something.
But she loves playing with those!!

Yes, indeed often the best!
Kind of the same with kids. Once my boy -around 1,5 I think- got a toy. Not sure what they're called in English, different shapes that they had to fit in the correct whole (triangle, square, round).
My boy played with the boxed for hours on end while the toy stood on the coffee table, unused, hihi.

It's actually that event that made me think of giving Nila a box as she had shown interest.

Nila talk... non-stop meow meow meow meow means "I need to go to the litter but it's dirty!"

Almost 1am but I clean it, thinking, "How can such a little thing produce so much in 1,5 days???"
Seriously unbelievable!

I put the clean litter back in the room... Nila hops on it -of course, that's what it was all about- and does her thing.
Then... she rushes into the kitchen to eat ohwell grumble

Me thinking, "STOP eating so much!!!" laugh
At first she didn't eat much at all, to the point it concerned me a bit. But the last few days she's really going for it!

This is so sweet: whenever she's relaxed, snoozing, and I speak sweet words to her she looks up at me and replies with a "meow"!
It melts my heart as it's a moment of real connection.
Earlier on I happened to catch it hihi

Tonight she's been sleeping in my lap a lot, totally relaxed as you can see:

And one more. As you can see my jeans are heavily damaged by Madame... and every time I think she's learning to not do that anymore she does it again. It's not really her being a pain but her trying to get in my lap.
Anywho... when she sleeps she cute again, haha.

Glad Nila is over her crazy half hour. She has these moments where she goes totally nuts, racing over everything from cat tree to me, and back. During such crazes she sometimes accidentally hurts me with her nails.
I'm beginning to wonder if this is related to a certain meat flavour. She's passing a lot of gas at the mo and her stinkie produce was quite noisy. Maybe some food flavour she reacts to. I was stroking her belly a while ago and she got all peaceful and still, enjoying it.
Lord knows some food give her cramps? Like babies can have?

Hihi, yes she's happy for sure!
The only problem is with one of the oldest cats, which I had feared as he's a weird one. And he's turned into a real grumpy intolerable git. Not sure what to do with it, how to deal with it.

Thank goodness things are going way better with Bailey :) But Nila is happy for sure!

Awww she's beautiful crystal:gem:❀

This thread was a good read for me laugh so much I've forgotten about having a new pet in the house.

No name (my kitten) loves playing with balls I made of aluminium foil laugh And thanks for the jingle bell reminder. I found the jingle bell I got when I went on the polar Express... (steam engine train ride during Christmas time) it's about the size of a half dollar on a raw hide string. I don't know if she likes it yetlaugh she's sleeping under the China cabinet laugh so glad I bought her a beautiful soft bed to ignorelaugh

Hihi, yes they sleep where they like!
Nila is nuts about these cat mice (they're really cheap). She loves them more than cat play balls. And an old shoe with laces. It gets real fun if you put a mouse in there!! Nila managed to get that done herself once, it took her forever to get the mouse out. Keeps her busy for a while, lol.
It sure as heck takes getting used to. I am VERY glad I got her that cat tree! She jumps & runs and jump-runs all over it, uses the scratching bits, and the numerous places to sleep on. Best investment yet! And if she stops using it at some point I'll just sell it.

Anyhow, enjoy having your little kittiekat around! Oh, did you think of the practical, de-fleeing and de-worming? So your house doesn't get infested with flees!

I hope you'll think of a name soon :)

FINALLY my Bailey can get indoors to sleep peacefully without Nila hassling him!! FIRST time!
Bailey is mostly okay with her, but he's not in the mood for playing anymore. Logical as he's 12 yrs old, gets to go outside too.
Nila didn't get that, she was happy to see another cat and wants to socialise and play!! She just jumps him at times, or starts playing with his tail when he's eating or trying to get a nice snooze indoors.
A couple of days ago I decided to interfere more and give her a clear message each time as I want my Bailey to be able to be indoors.
So Nila's been getting correction with the water bottle. I think she's got the message. I now only have to squeeze that bottle so she hears it and she backs off.
Funny thing is, Bailey seems to understand what I'm doing and that I'm not after him. I mean, he isn't keen on water either, hihi. But he doesn't really bat an eyelid anymore when I'm using it to correct Nila. He's getting it.
Right now he's sleeping in the window, one of his favourite spots, and Nila is doing her own thing. Phew!!

Bramble is another story altogether. I think I may have to let him go... He's grumpy, growling, not only at Nila but also at his brother Bailey and me. He's always been a weirdo and I doubt this behaviour is going to change or is still correctible.
I've already had to let another cat go because of him a few years back, not going to do that again, and I don't want him to terrorise Bailey nor Nila. Or me for that matter.
I'm not keen on growling cats.

Did you ever try Feliway?

From what I read, Bramble seems to be stressed out? Some cats are loners, they don't like company at all. And then they either fight or flight

And Feliway seems to calm stressed out cats down a bit, I made some good experiences myself.

I might try that. But he is a weird one. It's because of him I had to let go of the other cat I already had when he and his brother arrived. Bramble just dominated him away, and started that as a kitten!!
At the time I did use Feliway as I also had to move house at some point. But I had no other choice than to let go of the other cat as he kept running away for days, weeks on end. I'd already picked him up from the shelter as people had phoned about him walking around by his lonesome self on the other side of the village. It froze that winter, like -10C.
So because of that happening I'm not certain Bramble will come around.

Cats are just unpredictable creatures. Hopefully, Bramble will come around. I keep fingers crossed waving
