I was just wondering if you think florida is the best outing or if you have a better on for this time of year?

Florida is a good place to visit anytime of the year , for a week or so ..... and especially since one of our most popular posters , :chocolate_bar::chocolate_bar:lives in the neighbourhood.... just watch out for those playful alligators ... ha ha !!!

One time I was in Florida in the month of March. It was kind of cold. I was wearing a jacket during the day.

It's the best place to find giant palmetto bugs.

In the middle of the summer during hurricane season? No, it's not the best time of the year to visit there. Best time is late fall through early spring. It also depends on where you're going. If you're visiting Southern Florida or the Keys, any time during that time frame is good. Central or Northern Florida, then late fall or springtime is best, it can get quite chilly in those areas during the winter.

Still remember in Feb 1975 we flew out of Omaha, it was 15 degrees and there was 8 inches of snow on the ground. We landed in Orlando and as we walked off the plane it was like walking into a wall of smelly humidity, wow!
It was 90 something degrees and the humidity was 90 something, miserable!
I was a kid then and the humidity didn't bother me as it does now but choosing to live in that is just out of the question for me.

Not a fan. Lived there for a brief time. There are hundreds of places I'd rather visit, probably thousands.

 I have been to Florida round this time of year when my children were small, and I loved it. Having said that give me the island of Crete any day smitten
