How do women feel when wolf whistled? Does it depend on who is doing it?
I used to think it was classless, but now I feel flattered because I feel ancient.

I've never heard my wolf whistle.

Growl or howl, yes.

Back in my youth if men on a building site wolf whistled or catcalled I would feel extremely embarrassed, go bright red and almost run past laugh laugh laugh

Now that I’m also feeling ancient I would probably be extremely flattered

I know right. I used to feel like a piece of disrespected meat. Now, I chuckle and think maybe I still have it going on...🤭🤭

Thanks for explaining it's cat calling. I'd never heard of wolf whistling. laugh

I don't like it. And thinking about it, it's always when a group of men is together. I don't think I've ever had a man by himself do that. I guess in a group they feel stronger and macho.
I find it overwhelming and very much unwanted.

It doesn't happen that often anymore. They now ogle which is equally annoying. The ogling I had the day before yesterday. And yes, a builder.
I also have it a lot when I go out to the pub, which with the lockdown has been a while.

Fiuuuuu fiuuuu (Onomatopoeic for whistling... well at least in Italian!)

But it's not my habit to do it of course, just between friends for a laugh maybe, otherwise it's very inappropriate

I never really did that. Always thought it was disrespectful to the woman.
Not to say I didn't make comments but I didn't broadcast them to look like a womanizer.
I however, have been wolf-whistled by women. Still get 'oogled' too. For some reason, women want to touch my butt?

Urm, it happens to me a lot by men who are alone. I am not blowing my own trumpet, I just think it is weird, yeah.
Maybe it is a kiwi classless act thingy?
I don't get it? But whatever?
