Rain, Rain & More Rain! There hasn't been a single day in the last 2 weeks that it did not rain. Forecast calls for rain till saturday, then cloudy till wednesday when a lil sun will pop up then back to cloudy & rain. Its turning tropical! Oh my! We havenβt had much rain here and our water reservoirs are lower than normal so the government is asking us all to reduce our water consumption. Not something weβre normally asked to do in Scotland where our rainfall is usually high. |

24Β°C Sunny Chance of Rain 10% Humidity 58% Wind WNW 5 mph Feels Like 24Β°C Pressure 1020 hPa Visibility 16.1 km UV Index 6 Hahahaha, poor you!!! I find 24C really nice :) Unless humidity is high. 25C and 26C I can also handle, but more than that quickly is too much for me. But 24C to me is the perfect weather, hihi. Good thing we're all different! We haven't had much rain last week, not sure if it has been longer. I think it is dry as I had this horrible sewage smell in my house this morning. That occasionally happens when the sewage pipes outdoors are all kinda dry. But haven't had that stench as bad as this morning! Not sure if we've been asked to reduce water usage. But I've noticed in previous years that even then people still fill their play bath in gardens, wash cars etc. No one seems to give a chit. (I do btw) I think typically Dutch? |

Rain, Rain & More Rain! There hasn't been a single day in the last 2 weeks that it did not rain. Forecast calls for rain till saturday, then cloudy till wednesday when a lil sun will pop up then back to cloudy & rain. Its turning tropical! Oh my! We havenβt had much rain here and our water reservoirs are lower than normal so the government is asking us all to reduce our water consumption. Not something weβre normally asked to do in Scotland where our rainfall is usually high. Last time there was heavy rains to the north it saturated the salt water near the coast with fresh water and bacteria/algea caused the beaches to close. It really hurt the tourism, then we had the pandemic restrictions. This year, our community needs a healthy tourist season. Right now, most of the beaches are still open http://opcgis.deq.state.ms.us/beaches/ Note: Swimmers are reminded that the Beach Task Force has a standing recommendation that swimming not occur during or within 24 hours of a significant rainfall event. 2021-07-14 until further notice - WATER CONTACT ADVISORY as a result of probable high bacteria levels at the following location: the beach area including Hancock County station 1 ([EPA:MS447804] Lakeshore Beach near near Lakeshore Drive, Bay St. Louis). The extent is from Silver Slipper Casino eastward to Pointset Ave.
2021-07-14 until further notice - WATER CONTACT ADVISORY as a result of probable high bacteria levels at the following location: the beach area including Hancock County station 3 ([EPA:MS594393] Waveland Beach near near Vacation Lane, Waveland). The extent is from Oak Blvd eastward to Favre St. This is exactly how it started last time. My grandkids are looking forward to some beach time. |
