Swedish research: Here, by using an in vitro cell line, we report that the SARS–CoV–2 spike protein significantly inhibits DNA damage repair, which is required for effective V(D)J recombination in adaptive immunity. Mechanistically, we found that the spike protein localizes in the nucleus and inhibits DNA damage repair by impeding key DNA repair protein BRCA1 and 53BP1 recruitment to the damage site. Our findings reveal a potential molecular mechanism by which the spike protein might impede adaptive immunity and underscore the potential side effects of full-length spike-based vaccines.

Merkel: Germany hit by full force of Covid

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-59320515

"Germany is in the grip of a "dramatic" fourth Covid wave, Chancellor Angela Merkel has said on the eve of a crisis meeting with regional leaders.

Vaccination rates vary across the continent. Slovak take-up is among the lowest in the EU at 44% while the Czech rate is 58%, in Austria it is 65% and in Germany 68%.

Both Germany and Austria have reported queues at vaccination centres, but they have some of the lowest take-up rates in Western Europe."

sounds grim especially with healthcare capacity already showing signs of stress and winter looming .

The study was InVivo with no humans or animals involved . The researchers claim to have identified a “potential mechanism “ of how full-length covid spike protein could diminish a person’s DNA repair system and obstruct their adaptive immunity.

“mRNA never enters the nucleus of the cell where our DNA (genetic material) is located.

Hi Calle .. this is an abstract only .. impossible to draw any conclusions from it .. can you please post the full clinical research article . I have been unable to find it .

Furthermore .. it is a non peer reviewed CONFERENCE abstract .

The PULS test referred to is used to predict 5 year cardiovascular risk . There is no information if the patients in this study had cardiovascular disease or other diseases /circumstances known to cause inflammation .

Be careful of interpreting results without the full information.

Wikipaedia has this to say about the author .. ...

He is best known for his disputed claims that lectins, a type of plant protein found in numerous foods, cause inflammation resulting in many modern diseases.[5] His Plant Paradox diet suggests avoiding all foods containing lectins.[6] Scientists and dieticians have classified Gundry's claims about lectins as pseudoscience.[6][7] He sells supplements that he claims protect against or reverse the supposedly damaging effects of lectins.[8]

Happy to review the research article if you are able to locate it waving

You may also want to research the exaggerated inflammatory response associated with covid infection ,

It might only be a small gesture, but Germany offered ICU beds for Covid patients from the Netherlands. Sure, in these challenging times, we have to support each other.

Larsi waving that is very compassionate of Germany considering they are dealing with their own covid crisis. I did read in another recent article that Germany may no longer be able to take patients from the Netherlands .. perhaps that is region based as some areas have no hospital capacity .

The Netherlands has to try and get beds for patients in Germany every year. This is not Covid related it has to do with cutting back on everything, including hospital beds, personnel and so on. Each and every year hospitals have trouble accommodating the peak of patients due to the normal seasonal flu.
Cut backs have been going on since the 80s at least. I know cos I wanted to become a nurse, then transfer to being an OR assistant. But as soon as you'd qualify as a nurse you were out of a job.

Last year they upped the nr of ICU beds from 1100 to 1300. I checked numbers today and the number of seriously ill people -possibly at the ICS- is... 512 only!!
Meaning there should be plenty of beds free as I don't think seasonal flu has really taken off just yet.

But this thing with Germany is nothing unusual. I know this from ICU nurses.
Saying differently and bringing it in the news is just part of the fear-mongering machine.

Well, I guess we know now why they are coming up with amazingly high new cases per day, that I am almost 100% certain of that it's fake as bleep.

Plans are for the QR code app to get linked to your bank app, I believe Belgium has already done this or is going to implement it. Then they will expand what is all connected to it so they will know everything about you.
This is also part of the big scheme of getting rid of tangible money -which has been in planning for a longer time- and online or virtual money only.
The EU will then also make it mandatory to have an EU passport type thing, an EU identification which will also be linked to the rest.
One big "Big Brother is Watching You" app and mass-control etc. Kinda like North Korea I guess. Just not with cameras and police or army anymore but with our own apps, originally designed for ease and/or pleasure.

And it's also clear now that the vaccine doesn't work one bit as the number of new cases is sky-rocketing yet most people are fully vaccinated by now. Oh yes, of course, there are new variants!!! slaphead Then maybe accept that is the case, that 98% recover.
Now they want to do booster shots. WTF for? It doesn't work so why do they want to put stuff in people? What is in there? Why spend billions on all this BS?

Also compared numbers of the Netherlands with those of a few others and then we aren't doing bad at all really. So it's a load of BS, fear-mongering, and working on the EU's bigger plan that has nothing to do with fighting a virus. Nothing whatsoever.

Covid: New heavily mutated variant B.1.1.529 in South Africa raises concern

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-59418127

"We're back in familiar territory - growing concern about a new variant of coronavirus.

The latest is the most heavily mutated version discovered so far - and it has such a long list of mutations that it was described by one scientist as "horrific", while another told me it was the worst variant they'd seen.

It is early days and the confirmed cases are still mostly concentrated in one province in South Africa, but there are hints it may have spread further.

Immediately there are questions around how quickly the new variant spreads, its ability to bypass some of the protection given by vaccines and what should be done about it.

There is a lot of speculation, but there are very few clear answers."

Hi Duttoneer waving

Pfizer and Moderna are currently testing their vaccines against Omicron Will take approx two weeks for a result and approx 100 days to change current vaccine (if indicated ).

You might find the following articles interesting (they were dated June 2021) ... but relate to an Immunocompromised patient in South Africa sept 2020 , with uncontrolled HIV and a subsequent covid infection . Concern was raised but I wonder if that was as far as it went ???
