Hey!

I'm new to this whole internet dating thing. Are you guys having much luck finding people who are compatible with you? I'm sure it's not perfect but the odds must be better than talking to random people at the bar.

Its ok need alot of patience however.... Did meet a gal off another site she is the sweetest person but unfortunately I ended up being the rebound guy....

I'm kind of new also, but is like sampling the food without eating. It is easier to talk to people and decide if you like them, or not, than meet someone face to face and not like them and have to let them know and feel kind of akward when you do.

well in my experience, i can honestly say that yes, this does work. i have been on here since early october i think and i have been talking to a wonderful man who i am convinced is my soul mate. he's wonderful, and i feel so lucky to have met him.

Not for me so far, but I have made some of the greatest friends that I will ever have in my life, so that is a win in my opinion! I'm in no hurry to meet Mr. Right, so I'm fine with things taking time!

I have made alot of friends here. If nothing else the support that you get for finding one at home is worth it. I had a few prospects going before I had to cut the internet off. I met someone in person I met on pogo.com. It went no where but we still email each other from time to time.

I met Tom in March of this year on this site. It began with a simple Saint Patrick's Day good luck wish.

November 3 we married accompanied by a host of family and friends!

It can be whatever you make of it. The worst that can happen is you make some new friends along the way. The best that can happend is you find someone to spend the rest of your life with.

I met my beau on the internet (another site). He is wonderful and darling and the way our lives are we never would have met otherwise.

YES, it is possible to meet your partner on here! One of my friends just married someone she met from this site and personally, I've been very successful on sites other than this one. Just don't throw all of your eggs in the JSH basket though, try to look at it as more of a supplemental source of possibilities rather than rely on it. Basically, don't expect anything, don't get your hopes up, PLEASE do not fall into the desperate/whiney trap, and participate in el forums and you should at the very least make some friends. Michele, thanks for the heads up. I will start working on that right away, and get the jadedness level back to normal....I have an internet persona to maintain here!

It has worked for me so far. If beats going to the bar to meet people. I haven't met my true love yet, but I have met a lot of nice people I wouldn't have otherwise met. You just have to be careful. Meet at a public place and get to know the person before a bit before you show them where you live.
So far I haven't meet any ax murders yet.

I believe internet dating can work. I have seen many of my friends find their love here. It hasn't for me but that's ok. I made many friends here and I wouldn't give them up for anything.
