The first time when I looked to Google, and didn't get an answer. Has this happened to anyone?

I had to google something that was in the medical field. It is very specific. I think I have to figure it out myself.

What is your query, Cat?

I think I have to go back to about 38 years ago to a doctor who did surgery on me. He invented that surgery and he used it on me. I'm written up in medical books. He has since died. I think I'm having the same issue on my other leg. I was going to try to find what other doctors say.

I'll do a deeper search for information about doctors.

What is the very specific word, Cat? Maybe, I can help.

The first time when I looked to Google, and didn't get an answer. Has this happened to anyone? More often than you'd think. That's why there's Bing, Yandex, and DuckDuckGo as well. Those are the major search engines. You may need to broaden your query as it seems to be a very specific one that not many people look for. You can also try medical journals and such. You can also try searching medical sites to see if they yield better results. |

Thanks Moi and Boots. I'll figure it out.

I wish I could help you more if I had known the specific terminology in your case. Anyway, you can do random research by visiting these links:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/?term=doctor%20research https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/search/all/?term=medical https://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C5&q=doctor+research+on+leg+surgery+&btnG= https://www.sciencedirect.com/search?qs=doctor%20research%20about%20leg%20surgery I'll be back here if I find some more links. |

I think I'm having the same issue on my other leg. I was going to try to find what other doctors say. If it was written up in a journal (published): Try Here are just a few databases commonly used by credible medical search engines: EMBASE – owned by Elsevier with over 29 million records MEDLINE – contains more than 22 million biomedical published articles in its archive PsycINFO – contains more than 3.5 million records Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (CDSR) MedlinePlus Also you can try: PubMed Ovid Web of Science Scopus Cochrane Library Directory of Open Access Journals Open Science Directory Free Medical Journals OpenMD.com Trip Database – medical search engine with filters for evidence type. Healthcare Bluebook HCUP-US Publications Search - AHRQ ClinicalTrials.gov JAMA Network American Medical Association www.usa.gov › doctors |

1. Some research journals (Scopus-indexed, Elsevier and some others) cannot be publicly accessed, unless you are belong to a research group; a university; a research institute, and such.
2. Some others can be easily accessed, however, you have to provide the very specific terminology. 3. Google scholar also provides findings on researches, but again, you need to be specific to find your case and the researches that have been conducted. 4. Type the doctor's name on the search box and see if she/he has put the findings on open access journals. Hope it helps. |
