i know i'm not a loser,just a divorced dad trying to find someone that is as caring and affectionate as i am i have one little girl and i have her almost every weekend atleast on here i can talk to and get to know a woman before we meet that way i'm not giving up any of my time with my daughter i like to go out with friends to clubs but not to try and pick up another drunk like my x lol and yes i know not all women that go clubbing are drunks but you just can't tell from a short term encounter atleast on here you can find out what kind of a person they really are ,and i know theres a lot of dishonest people out there but if you take your time and ask alot of questions if there lying about anything eventually they will slip up and then it's time to move on merry xmas from Jax,FL good luck peeps,TIM yep im with Tim on this one! i agree! |

my 2 cents whether you want it or not any one who thinks online dating is for losers have already told you where the mind set is a closed mind is a dead head open your mind look at the possibilities due to my online dating and the friends i have made when i do get to go on a vacation i wont have to spend it alone i have met wonderful people from all over the world and if i ever do visit i will have a local friend that can show me how great life is in their part of the world. and not just the tourist crap. I will benefit from and insiders view. and since this is getting long i'll just leave it with that one example of the benefits of online dating. peace and love ace hands soap box to the next person Very well stated opinion. i dont think online dating is for losers.
its safer than meeting someone at a bar, thats for sure. at least on here you have the chance to screen someone first before meeting. Also, with online dating it makes the dating scene a little easier for those who are too busy with work to find the time to actually go out and experience the single scene. |

Well, Where the hell are you sposed to find someone?
You can't date at work really (bad idea most of the time) The bar scene/club is full of questionable characters If you are at school it sure is hard to make a good impression dashing through classes and such. So, yeah, I think s lot of us may have been hesitant at first to do this because of the "stigma" but come on, the world now a days is pretty fast-paced. and it is not like the movies where you fall in love at a diner or something. So its either this, or we have arranged marriages by our parents,lol. (for some of us anyway) |

I saw one of the homeless guys on the street corner with a sign yesterday.. It said.. 'Will work to get laid'. I thought that was an interesting approach. The fascinating thing? The two cars ahead of me gave him money! Now I'm wondering... When he sits there with his sign asking for money, does he get laid? By the way.. On the way back from my errands. His milk crate and sign were there.. he wasn't. You get the rolls all mixed up. Yea.. I'm always doing that.. Top, bottom... bed, couch, dining room table.... kitchen counter.. the hammock out back.

Are these the same clowns that drink there guts out at bars, blow all their money and make an ass of themselves?! Hey, I've been doing both gigs (bars, online dating) for many years...not much of a difference. Getting blown off is much quicker on-line! Cheaper too

Define loser.
Most of the folks on here seem decent, hold jobs,etc. I see this as another outlet to meet people i'd never run into elsewhere. I could easily go out right now and find someone to chill with. But finding something long term can be harder, definately takes a bit more effort. So no, I dont think youre a loser. |

Online dating is new en different for me. Not that I have dated anyone online yet. LOL. I will say it HAS given me an opportunity to meet some very nice people. Interesting people. I appreciate that. I never would have met them otherwise.
As for the dating thing...it IS a little safer if you are cautious enough EN... it allows ways to get to know someone before actually meeting in person. Maybe one day...I will meet someone here IN PERSON when "we" decide it is compatible. In the meantime, I enjoy the people here. |
