Depends on how much religion matters to you and your partner.

It matters alot my friends. Where i come from there is a an adage that says that tell me your friends and i tell you your manners. A healthy relationship will work for you if you share same beliefs. Much as one may argue that we must agree to disagree, grooming of kids is bound to be a problem. You May be comfortable with your differences but as romance begins to wane and marriage becomes a duty then many things begin to have a fresh definition.Complaints begin etc etc thats when you need a solid (like-ness) to help you swim the tide. Its always at this stage that divorce comes when people get to find they had nothing in common save for those earlier -empty, -or should i say sexual feelings.Better to marry your friend whereby even in those great storms you will stand and needless to say friends always have something in common.Thats my perception friends

Let me put it this way I’ll respect yours as long as you respect mine. As far as kids are concern I would let them make up their own minds about it and I would respect that as well. As long as love is in the center of it then that is all that matters.

You need to have the same core belief as your life partner/spouse/soulmate or which ever.

No.
Unless you need to have complete control over another's thoughts. |

It matters if they expect me to make any allowance for religion, like donating money to charlatans, wasting time on dogma, genital mutilation, not eating favorite foods, fasting, abstaining, reading fiction stories, listening to bores rattle on about their favorite book, statues effigies symbols posters, nodding politely at drivel, etc.
My energy is better spent elsewhere. |

Hmmm, not so much sure if a specific religion matters, but to me spiritual and moral values are paramount on my list. What I am finding doing research on dating forums, people are looking for quick fixes to self gratification out of a deeper need and not exploring what really matters to themselves on a soul level... Just my thoughts on the subject....

If you are a heathen it doesn't matter to God, else it does!
[Deut: 7:3] Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son. Incase you wonder why God is against interracial marriage, if you are not a heathen, then the next verse explains why: [Deut: 7:4] For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly. God didn't say they MIGHT but they WILL turn away... after all your mother is your 1st teacher. |
