Topic: Your relationship patterns... | |
---|---|
I got this from Marisa Peer and it's quite an eye-opener.
Write down all the familiar things/patterns you do in a relationships and write down all the unfamiliar things. The first things you want to have become unfamiliar because they don't serve you and/or aren't healthy, the latter things you want to become familiar. Doing so will help get clear what your patterns are, and with that the reasons a relationship doesn't work out for you AND what you should change regarding that. I just did so, and wowza... Also, writing it down helps in a different way from thinking it. Writing engages different parts of the brain and makes things stick better. Thinking or saying it doesn't work so well. So writing it down is quite handy if you want to change things around. Another advantage is that you can read through it again when you feel you need it. And maybe at some point you can even cross things off from the 'unwanted patterns & behaviours" list. |

Interesting concept! Thanks for sharing.... You're welcome! It really works to get clarity. Just now I noticed I'd written some 6 not so nice things I don't want anymore in my list of things I do want? Go figure how the mind tends to much easier go back to the negative, haha. |

I'm in a relationship and I don't think about it much at all?
But, it seems to be working... I find its best not to over-think it. |

I was happily married and then my wife died of breast cancer last year! Not a thing I could've did about that, or predicted in the past! If she was still here I'd still be with her!

I have no idea who Marisa Peer is. Not really important to my OP... you could Google and then find it's a well-know RTT coach & therapist. I only mentioned it so people who were interested in it could look up where it came from. |

be careful of your thoughts they become words.......be careful of your words , they become actions......be careful of your actions they become habits....be careful of your habits ,they become character......your destiny
you should look before you think....think before you speak....learn before you earn |

You can try to cover it up with other words and actions but once done, its done. The lesson to learn is to mind your words and actions. Only you can control what you say and do. Live Wisely |

I start to lose interest in a partner within 6 months.
why That's what you can find an answer to by doing what I posted in my OP. But one has to be willing to invest in themselves and take the time to do that. Many aren't willing/interested. |
