Topic: Big Hiatus in new Movies? | |
---|---|
I'm just thinking... with the current situation we are bound to get a big gap in new movies being released as they cannot make any movies or series now.
And I know it's not the most important thing in the world but still... |

It certainly looks that way. I can't imagine that many films or series that weren't into the editing stage will be released any time soon. Who knows how many film production companies will survive through this or what effect it's going to have on film and series generally? I know that a lot of my favourite series (like The Expanse or What we do in the Shadows) might not return now.

There's a limit to how many times you can regurgitate Star Trek, lol. And all the movies I got on my HD I've seen so many times that I can almost write the scripts without help I know some movies have been postponed, like James Bond. That's now set to come out in mid-November. I'm guessing the same will go for other movies that were to come out in March - June period. Bit pointless to have a premier when no one can attend. |

Yes, all those empty Cinemas . I know what you mean about favourites. I can only watch some of the series I have (like Farscape, for instance) every few years. Fortunately, the plot lines and story soon draws me in.

Yes, if the stories are good... I might check that series out.
I'd actually like to see a really good action movie. Having VIP access to James Bond would be great, hahaha. |

I think that you would enjoy Farscape, it has some very interesting characters, really good acting and a plotline that twists and turns . Some people can't get past the fact that a lot of the aliens are created by Jim Henson but I never found that a problem.

The movie theater in my town has been closed since the end of March, I think. They were already struggling a little to stay open and it was before the pandemic. I hope they get to reopen.

If the movie theater opens again in my town, I will go to more movies. I will even buy candy or popcorn there to help.

Rygel always cracked me up, and I sometimes swear using "Frell"...
Another one was Babylon 5. Really creative ideas, and some very profound writing. Most of the Highlander series was pretty good, and Adrian Paul was pretty cool in person, so I'll push his series now and then. I can't wait to see a movie again at a theater. It's one of the really good small "escapes" to have on a day off. I'm with y'all on supporting those theaters... I probably could have bought one by now, I went so much. |

My movie theater in town has free popcorn on Tuesday but I can buy popcorn or candy because that's how they stay in business.
