Topic: What are you doing? - part 9 | |

Wondering what happened to Poetry and how I can work it so they are twisted up like pretzel on the board game. Had to go feed my face so I can build up my endurance for the game since this game will take a while. And since we will be twisted up like a pretzel I needed to go get some mustard for it. Oooh mustard.... kinky |

Morning Kitkat! I'm enjoying nature documentaries, hihi. A short clip of a very young elephant afraid of water cos he nearly drowned as a baby. And now white lions! Cool! On my way to the hardware store I don't need anything today but I've been there everyday this week, hate to skip a day, they might miss me |

Started to put my new deskchair together, same one I've had for 13 yrs.
And it comes with another brilliant manual! The booklet begins with drawings of what to do. Picture 1-5, then... nothing? WTF? From the other end of the booklet it also starts with the same pictures, but then it does continue from 1-11. But... the pictures are not in following order. It jumps from 7 to 10 to 6 and so on. Way to go Ikea! Oh well, I got rod and the wheels sussed. Not keen on the rest as that means doing the insanely heavy part, which I would then have to lift on my own to put it on that steel rod thing. Manual says to not do it on your own but with 2 people. Wonderful... Stuck before I've begun. |

telling crystal to suss out which way the heavy bit goes on the rod and wheels.
then set the heavy bit on the floor upside down. lower the rod and wheels into it and then gently tip over until it is right side up. duct tape or rope/string can be installed to hold it all together while flipping |

I think I'm going to do it sideways. So first the heavy part underneath the seat, then attach the backrest, put/get that on the side, then attempt to get the rod thing with wheel section in, and put the chair upright. Fingers crossed. Cannot ask my son, he'll be in a cast for another couple weeks at least. The other day I put my chair (same type) on its side to check if the screws etc are still okay as it cloinks. And dang, is it heavy to do that! I now know which part causes that. |

don't put the back rest or arms on until after the wheels are on. that way the seat bottom will fairly stable while attaching the heavy bit and the wheels. and the arms and the back should be easy enough with the rest on it's side

Put the floors and seats in boat. Final fitting my steering gear: 3 rudder cheeks (1 spare); 4 rudder blades (2 spares), then positioning controls for up/down.
Made things too neat, now painted are sticking/jamming together with lack of clearance, darn. |
