I think they call it a "rebound" fling/relationship. Short lived and unsatisfying. It is healthier to take the time to process and heal.

Best Advice so far (even though lining up the whiskey glasses was a close second) NO CONTACT RULE. It's hard though when youre waiting that divorce or share kids with the ex. I keep a journal write really bad poems sometimes. Make a list of all the bad and how I was getting no where. I use it to mourn the dreams that died with my failed marriage. When the wave of emotions come I pray to God and have a real good cry in the shower. Then I put my smile on and keep living. I focus on the new. Focus on those still there. I make new dreams and goals. I put myself back out into the world. I just be happy. Set backs come in waves face them head on with God and keep moving.
