Manufacturers, distributors, dealers, and the courts all make money off of weed and other drugs, more so because they are illegal.

Simple supply and demand, it's not legal so not as many producers,sellers, less competition.

Since it's illegal, you pay fines if you're caught, when taken to court, you pay the court costs.

ok what manufacturers? cubans? do they share with our government? no...

distributors? as in drug dealers? you think they pay taxes?

so far those 2 have no pull rather it's legal or not...

second once agian, take your fines and your court costs and subtract what they spend in drug enforcement and how much do you think they "profited"? absolutly nothing, it's more debt. now compare that to alcohol and tobacco taxes totalling over several billion a year for the government alone in taxes.

so how are they making money agian?

if weed were legalized it would be taxed ..profit to the us instead of countries using it to supply their arms in order to go up against ..if it were legalized it could be taxed rather than wasting money to enforce the laws against it as far as a gateway drug well couldnt you say the same about alcohol it too is a drug the only reason weed isnt legal is because you got alot of old farts in the government who would rather booze it up as opposed to firing it up weed and poisons were put on this earth by god but it is up to mankind to figure out how to best use them

I guess that's why noone smokes tobacco since it's legal there just isn't any attraction .(sarcasm)

I am 40 and smoked pot for many years. (I don't now due to employment issues) I have a question for those who say that it is Addictive, Dangerous... why can I stop smoking pot at the drop of a hat and I cant stop smoking cigarettes? And we won't even mention the legal sale of alcohol. Hmmm... If the government regulated and taxed the sale of legal marijuana there would NEVER be a deficit. we would be able to fund Medicaid, Medicare and other programs for the elderly and handicapped... how about school programs for our children? Or Financial Aid for adults wanting to BETTER their lives?

And GOD said to Adam to make use of the plants and animals that came from the Earth... Is Marijuana not grown from the earth? from seed? Is it processed? NO! GOD doesn't make mistakes! It was put here for our USE!
