After my husband died, my main companion has been my cat. Yes, I have human friends, but they aren't there for me 24/7 the way my cat is. She's getting old. I knew the day would come. About 3 months ago she started developing dementia. (Yes, cats can get it.) It is now time. This Thursday I have a home vet visit scheduled. She'll be put down in the comfort of her own home, cuddled on my lap. I've been crying for 2 days. It's so difficult. So painful. Even though I know it's for the best for her, it's not the best for me. I will miss her SO much.

Oh hun, it is so hard. Our pets have none of the flaws that people do,
they are just furry balls of love.

We lost 4 last year alone, all from old age (4 cats, 1 dog) and all
you can do is ..celebrate what they added to your life.

Be grateful you were there for her ;-)

I still get my cat in my dreams and she has been gone over 20 years. She appears in my dreams often.

i know excatly what you going threw. its hard to loose a pet - they are 4 legged humans. i lose my 11 year old boxer on 9/23 (he passed away in his sleep on the couch) - what the sad part was i was about not even 5 feet away from him (i was alseep on the other end of the couch and he was on the other end).

Sorry to hear about your furbabies passing.
Remember there are so many pets that need you and your love... when you are ready.

very sorry to hear ... another reasons I dont have permanent pets ... as much as I would love to have a dog big but still a puppy ... but I have my neighbors... comes to see me a lot ... same with a foster cat ... believe he has another home but he runs free an not really mine though I still worried about them and will feed him all he likes ... I have lost so many animals through out my whole life ... and really don't want to be hurt again ... so much love I know exactly how u feel ... and some where just adopted but think of them all the time ... what could I have done ... but they get old and you don't want to see them suffer ... ok it really S*cks ...
