Topic: How do you Mingle? | |

Do you use your phone to get to Mingle or a PC / laptop?
Now that my PC is being fixed - hopefully--I have to make do with my phone and although I'm glad I got at least that, I find it very annoying! No option to go to the last page, you have to go via 7+7 + 7... Too much clicking for me. I'll wait till my darling PC is back home, haha. I don't think I'd ever Mingled on my phone before. Odd experience. Also cos I can't read it really, haha. Print is way too small. For all those who do always/mostly Mingle via their phone, how do you deal with the small font? Phone's too far away for reading glasses, on a stand. Swiping it larger doesn't work. Just curious as I never had these issues. |

I use my iPad for Mingle. I do have a laptop but it takes ages to fire up so tend not to use it as the iPad does everything I would use my laptop for. As for using the phone.....nah! My nails are too long to text and I also find the font too small. I like to see much more on the screen than what the phone shows.

I use a desktop. Once in a while I have issues with connectivity but that is not Mingle's fault. I could never use my cell for Mingle since the screen is small and that makes it difficult to navigate.

I use a very old imperial typewriter which I connected electronics to each key that transmit to my black and white television which in turn is connected to my phone line for dial up.
If that fails I just use my tablet I occasionally use my phone at work and like you say, it's different. |

Ah thanks. I thought more would use their phone. I also have a tablet, not a large one but larger than my phone.
But than I still have to type on that thing which is to trying for my neck. Basically renders that tablet rather useless for me. Although I do use it with painting :) |

Laptop only, and why I never try to answer Help questions
to do with mobile devices. I do not think I have logged out since 2009. Thought the Internet has logged ME out a few ;-) |

I only use my phone to mingle..
Don't have any problems reading, but on my phone, I can just put two fingers on screen and slide apart to enlarge. The only problem is in returning messages, the box is so small and all you can see is two lines, so lots of scrolling |

Gosh, why hadn't I thought of that! Hahahaha
I use a USB-C hub, thank goodness I bought that last year. That means I can plug that in the phone and then my mouse & ergonomic keyboard and I can use internet on my phone a little more comfortable. Typing blind with 8 fingers goes a helluva lot faster than on the phone, regardless whether I use my neck or my fingers, hihi. |

I can do that on photos, clearly not with text. Weird but alas. I'll have to go to settings to make the whole lot larger and then hope it also enlarges internet sites. |

When I read this topic's title, I thought it was about the ways that Mingle2 members escape from their padded cells.
I'll just go back to listening to Mingle2's music. |

Pc, sometimes phone or tablet...
When you're on a phone, you have the choice to get the full website displayed on your phone screen from your browser's settings. It allows you to use the site as if on a pc. Granted, the screen isn't adapted but it does the trick. |

The fingernail issue... My fingernails usually arent' that long, sometimes they are, but then I often cut them shorter as it hurts when typing, and I type an awful lot!
I do not understand how women with really long fingernails can still do certain things in life. Normal things I mean. Plus you always get yuk underneath, hihi. I'm not a woman to have real long fingernails. |

Mostly I use my iPad... I canโt navigate around here on my phone very well, at all! So Iโm only Mingling when Iโm home and not on the go |
|

Desk Top... since I'm on one all day at work, I keep a couple tabs open to check in, off and on and same at home..
Only time I log in on my phone is when I'm away and only deal with e-mails.. Print is way to little for me to deal with on a phone.... Just much easier on a desk top for me.. |

I've never tried it on mingle but you are right it don't work... |
