Haha, sounds like fun.
I never watched the movies either, except one I think, cos someone here posted a link to watch it online. So I thought, what the heck, if it's free and easy...
But I wasn't impressed. Problem with movies is that they had to go for a general public and thus likely had to leave out many things that were in the book (I suspect, I haven't read the books either).
In that sense writing is much better.

Someone I knew had the first book, I read a few pages when I visited her, but I found it boring as hell. To each their own, lord knows she got rich enough from sales, haha.

Yeah it was fun while it lasted..winking
Wasn't really looking to go to the movies that night as I had only bought my gimp suit and wanted her opinion tongue2

Must admit I had to Google gimp suit, haha. Freaky things!

Gave birth naturally to an 11lb baby!

Well that's a slight lie. She was 10lbs 15oz.

Still brings tears to my eyes.

You’re too humble imo

Thank you.
I consider being noticed as 'humble',
to be a very honorable compliment.

I won a poetry contest. My writing is a very intimate part of me, so I was perdy proud.
I’ll never enter another though, I want to stay at the top lol.

I am alive.
Not really proud of it.
I had a lot of pride when I was young and healthy.
That all went into the trashcan when I started fighting for my life.
Funny how things that used to be so important, really are NOT.

Similar here after experiencing severe pain of muscle strain and tendon injuries what seemed important in the past isn’t nowadays

Its funny.
I think of my dad before he died.
He had lots of 'wisdom' for everyone.
Never gave it much mind.

Now, I try to give my wisdom to anyone caring to listen.
I am my dad.
The wall full of citations, testimonies, diplomas and certificates means absolutely nothing.
Its what really matters in life that we tend to ignore as a 'given' but its not.
Nothing is a 'given'.

We complicate that which isn't complicated, why?
We fail to see what is right in front of us till its gone and missed.
Why?

If only we had the wisdom of age when we were young....pining for the impossible.

You can tell someone to appreciate the moment they are in but that importance is lost in the indestructibility of youthful health.
You can't know, till you get here and then...its too late.

Hold your people close.
Feel that feeling and hang on to it as long as you can because it doesn't last.
Know it for just how special it it and savor it with everything you are.

I wish for you all to have the wisdom to appreciate your moment of "now".

Well said the lesson is people don’t know how to treasure what they have till it’s lost All is vanity when one leaves the world when we’re alive time seems so limited and precious before we know it it’s gone I’m trying my best to treat my family and friends well when some people are unworthy I choose to move on

Oh yes, those moments!!! love
Natural childbirth is the best! In your own bed with a midwife and maternity assistant.
My girl was 4,2 kgs and my boy 3,8
My girl was in a hurry, hihi. Water broke, that's what it started with for me, and an hour and a half later she was there smitten

11lbs equates to 4.9 kg bigsmile

My daughter is just over 6' tall now. I remember when she was almost 3 yrs old and a lady in a store asked my daughter why she wasn't in school that day and I replied "because she's only 2 yrs old".

That is tall for sure! My girlie was also always on the tall side and I feared she'd get over 1.80m. I wasn't chuffed as I'm 1.78m and I know being taller isn't always fun. But then somewhere during her teenage years she stopped growing. She's 1.72m and boy am I happy for her!!
My son was always average height, or a little under it, and I feared he'd not get much taller than his father, some 1.76m which for a man isn't really nice. He ended up being 1.83m. Mommie's very happy, haha.

Some interesting posts here; I don't think about you folks that live where you aren't allowed to own firearms since I grew up hunting (but haven't for many years). I still own guns and have taught my 14 y/o daughter shooting safety.
I was taught gun safety and how to shoot at an early age, my dad was a Korean war Marine, combat veteran with two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star and also a marksman with both handgun and rifle. I still shoot as often as I can and take the kid with me, she's not really big enough for my 1911 .45 but I have a little .22 semi auto rifle that's perfect for her and she's a great shot (my dad would be proud).
Crystal if you read my profile you'll understand and be able to imagine that I've had many interesting experiences and currently have a ongoing relationship that's right up your alley based on what you're writing about. I was going to msg you and mention it but I'm 2 years to old scared
Lmk if you'd like to talk.

I'm proud that I've been told that I'm achieving my goal of being the best daddy I can be.

I'm proud of myself for not staying late to take care of a cabana. I'm the concierge that usually does that but it was 3pm, quitting time when a crew member came to me and said I have a cabana. I said, "No... James has a cabana, it's time for me to go home".

I did stay an extra 15 minutes to give instructions, then left... Yay for me! biggrin
