Car wash. Texas. Summer. No glamor, I could literally scrape the salt from my shirt at the end of the day, but got buff and had pockets full of cash at the end of the day.

I love the sound of rain hitting a metal roof. I built a "veranda" for my mom (what we called it) -and we argued over which type of roofing material to use.... I reluctantly went with corrugated galvanized ... and spent many "happy hours" (margaritas were sometimes involved) listening to the sound of the rain on it....

Random fact.......................60 hours ago I had CPR done on me (un needed) and I've got three broken ribs and two cracked ones but hey, it's not every day you turn 64..............

Not quite the way I wanted to celebrate turning 64 Doofus; I had a "diabetic event" and probably would have died if it hadn't been for this guy and his daughter doing what they did and when they did it. This was in a tiny town and before the EMTs got there...............I guess when we got to the hospital my blood sugar was 30.

Thank goodness for those people helping you. I saw somewhere they have new less intrusive monitoring now, can you get one of those you just touch it to your skin? Maybe you can test more if not so much poking your skin everytime? I say when you recover, do something you wouldn't normally do, something fun you enjoy doing. Treat yourself, you deserve it. Hope you feel better soon.
