What do you consider to be signs that you / someone is ready for new love?

One thing... Seeing a couple in love, kissing or cuddling etc. makes you smile and feel good.

After my divorce it took about 4 years to even 'see' men
again as objects of desire, so I think it just took...time.

It starts with small things, such as not seeing the person as a threat ... well, 3 years after I separated, I still have issues here ohwell

So would you say that translates into -more or less- getting interest again in the other sex?

Sad love songs don't bother you (anymore), as a matter of fact, you don't even really notice them anymore.

I was in a grocery store, looked clear across the space
and saw a guy loading shelves, and that inner voice said
to me..hot damn ;-)

Indeed. Trust. Allowing a person to be close to me as well.

Thinking of having someone in your life, and the though/sensation of that feels good. So getting a bit of a longing.

That deep sense of longing... starting to imagine yourself with someone, holding hands, going for walks, holding each other and doing things together. And having that desire to share how your day went with that special one.

I believe when it's on your mind more than being single is on your mind then perhaps that's a good sign that you're ready.

In this case, I am not ready yet. But it is fine with me.

You'll know when the time is right Larsi flowerforyou

For me... I'm soooo ready! love

Just not sure how it fits into the picture with my traveling around doing seasonal work. ohwell From what I've read in the forums most women would have nothing to do with a man who doesn't have a home and steady job.

I imagine it's the same with men when it comes to women. I don't live under a bridge but since being displaced by the hurricane I don't have my own home and I move around doing seasonal work because employee housing is much more affordable... and it's fun too. The down side is I'm moving every few months so it's difficult to develop a relationship in such a short time.

Since my abusive relationship back in the early 90s i have always been afraid to get into another relationship. I tried to find someone these last few years, but guess its never meant for me to have one. Im happier not to deal with all the games and drama. And not to forget all the lies i have heard.

When the thought of dancing together with your partner makes you smile or laugh.
For some reason I had that image in my head just now, and it felt good, made me smile :)

I don't know about ladies but in female Baboons their bum swells up and goes bright red

When I find myself grabbing a bag of Funyuns
off the shelf, and asking the convenience store cashier,
where the fitting room is.

When you start wearing a belt buckle that says "ready" with an arrow pointing down.

Cooking for just one is hard, cooking for two would be nice. But, maybe just a dinner buddy, not
every night, just once in a while, but not on a weeknight, or weekend if I have plans, or maybe just
lunch, or maybe Iā€™m not ready. :joy:
