if you meet someone online and have talked for awhile
is it wrong or would you get the wrong impression if you met a one of the other's house to have something cooked by the other and watch a movie? |

Well If you both fell ok with it then why not.

what? would meeting at the house give off the wrong impression? or is that too open for something to happen?

an hour away
i suggested going to see the trail of lights after dinner, but i am afraid it would be a lot of noise |

ok =) sounded like you were talking about somthing else, more than 2 people involved kinda thing. Makes sence now
Personally without knowing the intentions of each of you? I would advise agaisnt it, i think something along the lines of a first date would be more more formal, dinner and a movie type thing. House dates are more personally/private and i think it can very well give off a wrong impression. But then again i dont know the intentions of either of you. |

I think it just really depends on your comfort level with this person. It might give off an impression but if you're upfront about what it is or isn't and you're really truly comfortable and are sure there's a tremendous amount of trust and integrity, then I think it would be ok. All I can say is, listen to your instincts, if they question it even a little bit, it's probably not the right thing at this point.

i would be careful hun meet in a public place and tell someone what you are doing, i know someone who took her date to her home he spiked her drink she has no idea what he did to her, better to be careful

I think if you are unsure enough to ask the question then you already know the answer!

Nurjoyce, I would meet for coffee or something in public first. I met a man online after talking for several months. We met at Walmart, of all places, did a little shopping, went to eat, then went to a private place. That's what we both felt comfortable doing. You both have to decide what it is you want out of the meeting. Just be careful. And let someone know where you are, just in case. A girl can't be toooooooo careful these days. Well, I guess not just us girls, guys toooooo. Oh, and I drove 2 hrs to meet him.

not to be sexist...but I think as a woman you should meet in a public place first....you can always go to their house after an initial meeting....
Safety first! Would you let your daughter do this??? (if you have one...idk) |
