I find it easy to spot those here with the wrong intentions. They are all in the early twenties, never married and sometimes refer to 'my site'. Why would they have any interest at all in an old man of 69 yrs? These people get blocked and reported.

You can't expect this site to carefully verify everyone who applies to join, and also be free. If you want to see only carefully vetted genuine people then you have to join one of those expensive sites.

But it's fun here in the forums, so please don't go!

On first meet, I just want to have coffee and chat. It's ok if you are not chatty.. I like someone who listens and you better be listening as I might stop talking about myself and ask you "oh enough about me.. what about you, what do you think of me?"
