I imagine threads that promote getting together and building relatinships.
Maybe threads on how to be a better person so I can be what others might want?

What I get is mostly brain dead people posting the same tired threads that make no progress toward anything.

Its so entertaining it should be a TVshow.

I've said that a number of times: people love to be negative. And they love other negative and depressed people even more cos then they can sink their teeth in them, allowing them to forget about their own misery.

It got a wee bit better here. 3-4 years ago a new member was immediately hanged, quartered and drawn. Most never came back. There was a lynch mob with nothing better to do than tear other people apart.

Most fora are predominantly negative, filled with chronically depressed people without a life.

PS you may now puke, as long as you clean it up yourself.

A long time ago, a famous science fiction writer, discussing the state of published science fiction literature, made the observation that became a "meme" of his era:

"ninety percent of everything is crap." Or crud, depending on which version of the story you see.

It's a good observation, I think, and one to keep in mind at all times, in order to gain and keep a balanced view about life.

The same thing holds true for mate hunting, in a slightly different way. The saying can be adjusted to read something more like "90% of everyone available, are NOT looking for you."

The reason that recognizing this is a POSITIVE step, is that once you ACCEPT that you have to dig through tons of steaming piles of crap to find the occasional valuable nugget of whatever, the steaming piles of crap wont annoy you nearly as much.

Just the price of doing business, so to speak.

People make topics that interest them.
If they do not interest you, move on.

Humm in the first place this is a Social/Dating Site with forums for those that want to be social.. This site has never been just a Dating Site.

There is no written rule that one must be here only for a date or the forums would be empty...

As far as what others post within the forums the way I have always looked at it is either pass it up or create a thread that is a subject one would like to discuss.

Just cause one likes a Topic does not mean another will...

I have seen Topics that I pass up that seems to go forever and then those that I would be interested in don't make it past the first page...

Just maybe those so called "Brain Dead People Posting" you refer to are educated people that just like to pass the time and joke around instead of being serious all the time.. jmo~~~
