Beautifully sunny, but the (Eastern) wind is horribly cold and at night it cools off a lot, close to freezing again. I had hard frost yesterday morning and this morning and temperature was close to freezing but the sun came out early and thawed it. It's to freeze overnight again My girl told me she's had to scrape the windshield the other day, so it's been freezing here too. Now I don't know that as I don't get up that early. But you can clearly feel it in the evenings and at night, can't you? I'm going to be so happy when my extension is closed off with a door & window. Now more cold! Oh, and fog. The other day only 50 meters visibility! That is bad! We often get sea fog here which kind of comes from above then drops down. And they said we could get snow over the weekend? ![]() |

It is hotdanged cold! Like winter's coming... in April
![]() It's only 2C, feeling temp 0C. I can feel it indoors as well... Glad by next winter my extension will be closed off. |

Severe thunderstorms expected shortly. Winds, hail, "possible tornadoes". Yay! Welcome to springtime in Texas. ![]() I'm glad my girl doesn't live there anymore. I was always worried when there was that kind of weather. Once, when she lived in ALabama still, a huge storm and tornado passed close by, same thing in Texas 2 yrs ago I think when a whole lot flooded there after a tornado. She didn't live far from there, I was more than concerned. Now she's safe back home, what can happen here, except for a huge tidal wave like the one that trashed the place in '53, haha. But that is exceptional, and we're much better protected now. That stuff in the US is normal. I have sometimes wondered how the Indians did that. I think they sensed a tornado was coming and left the area. They were smart enough to not build permanent housing. Yet, there must have been limits to how far they could go due to other tribes' grounds? Anywho, hope you're going to be okay! |
