23 today, full sun, blue skies. That's the max. So over here it won't go up further.
But it's really hot in the sun! I went in the front yard to prune away some things, in black jeans and black shirt. Holy moly!!! Meltdown, haha. |

I was in my sauna....sorry, my car and it was like a furnace. Temp gauge was showing outside temp to be 30C. Thank goodness for air con!

Outdoors it is 31C minimum for sure, which is quite something this close to the North Sea.
Indoors managed to keep it down to 26C, for now. Fingers crossed. I hope all the people at Concert at Sea are okay in this heat, pfff. Not my cup of tea. |

I'm glad it's cooled down outside somewhat although temp indoors is 26C. It's still very humid. I live on the west coast and the east coast is having high temperatures today.

Takes getting used to, doesn't it. To think we had weeks of ridiculously hot weather like this last year.
Over here it's dry as a bone today cos what little wind there is comes from southeast. 27C indoors now, which is still a helluva lot better than outdoors, haha. Me's keeping all doors and windows closed until much later! |

Haha, that's a tad too cold for me, lol. Then I'd need to get the heating going again.
My flat roofed extension is like a sauna! I do hope it cools off a little bit later on... Weather... it does keep us busy doesn't it, hihi. |

Indeed. I was thinking of that the other day. Not sure if we've ever had big fluctuations like that before? It was the same last week when it was so hot. 30+ during the day, cold at night, like 16C or something. NExt day 28C again, same thing in the evening. Really weird.

And a cool wind from the west (North Sea), so cooler air coming in. I do welcome that although it's annoying that it is so strong. I live some 24 kms closer to the open sea than I did before. Makes a lot of difference with the wind and storms. My daughter, who now lives here too, said the same thing the other day. Funny, only 24 kms, helluva difference. |

Looks like there's crap weather coming in from the Atlantic. We'll be getting some of that too I think. And not that I like it, but a bit of rain would prolly not go amiss. Think farmers and crops... It's been really dry, and the groundwater level hadn't even recovered from last summer's drought... So even though I don't fancy rain, it might be for the best to get some. |
