I would like to find a gentleman that is at least 2-3 inches taller than I am and within 5 years of my age or close to it. I would prefer them on the younger side since a lot of men look older than they are. With age and height, there seems to few choices. I am a bit curvy but am told I am nice looking. I did have one gentleman that was tall and 66 that told me I was a beautiful lady. I'm still looking.

I'm sure you will find too many to handle. Think of us poor fellows who get very little mail. We spend all our time chasing and you lucky ladies spend all your time fending off the unsuitable ones!

MK. You are right about the unsuitable ones. It is amazing how so many are WAY too young or are the older ones that look older than their years. It is very hard at my height and age to find what I consider a person for me. I suppose I'm a little hung up on having a man taller than I am.

I don't want to date someone shorter than me..
I am 5'5". You wouldn't think that would be a problem.. Yet i see quite a few guys who state their height as 5' 4" or 5' 3", or less... Odd, because out in the general populace I don't think I have seen all that many guys those heights... |

I have just recently started to notice men's height since I have been on dating sites. It seems a lot of men are about my height or shorter.

Best not check my height if you want anything more than just good friends

Yes Toody. That's why I would like a man to be at least 6" tall.

And that just leaves us midgets under 6 foot standing in the street, looking down, and kicking rocks.

If you're looking only for friends, height is quite unimportant. I think it's shallow to say that someone 'must' be slim, or tall, or chunk, or have any other physical attribute.
I admit I have only known two three married couple where the wife is taller than her husband, so if you want a full-time partner then just maybe a lady should seek a taller man. Tough if you're a tall lady, or a short man! But then, why not just have friends, nothing wrong with that surely? Is a dating site really the place to seek for a 'serious relationship'? Seems bizarre to me to look for and only meet people who are looking for that. Seems it would a great deal of pressure on that first meeting as you would both be thinking, "Could I live for ever with this person?". I know we're all different, but for me, having many friends is great. IF one of them should become the one that for some reason we see more and more often, then MAYBE that one MIGHT become special over time and EVENTUALLY might be THE ONE. But that is so far down the line, it just isn't worth thinking about on Day One, let alone on joining a site like this even before you've met anyone! |

Kay, I get a lot of men who write to me who are over 6 feet tall, which is not what I'm looking for. I agree that there is nothing wrong with just being friends. I see a lot of times on profiles that guys will say, looking for friends that will lead to something more, maybe even marriage.

Yes there are a good number of tall men. I have been looking more at height. I get a lot of responses from shorter guys. I'm also 70 years old and get responses from a lot of younger guys. I wonder how serious these younger fellows are. I think at my age over 5 years younger might be a bit too young. There is definitely nothing wrong with being friends! There has been one young fellow that I message that is fun to banter back and forth teasing each other. |

You do realize that internet height and real life height are 2 different creature?
Online I'm 6'6", in real life I'm a little under 5'11. Oh crap, I just told the truth, that isn't allowed online either. |
