It's cooled off tremendously outdoors so I opened both sliding doors to get cooler air in.
Upstairs in my bedroom I opened the large window, which I never do, to get the heat out, after I'd place that stuff in there to keep flies and mosquitoes out. Time for coffee now! |

Time for a shower I think, then off to bed with a good book.
And a couple of rock cakes, strawberry jam and cream. Yum. |

Relaxing after work. Still feeling a little under the weather but I made it through the day.

Reconsidering something massively important. Also, thinking what a mug I am.

Four days with my oldest son's family.
It was strange having six other people plus my gf in this lil two bedroom apt. They did a lot of beach and got the sunburns to prove it (I did warn them). My one granddaughter(9) cooked a dinner Sunday. She made: French onion pot roast Homemade mashed potatoes Beefy onion gravy Brown sugar carrots Hawaiian sweet rolls My other younger granddaughter(6) made two pies Chocolate Cherry Cream w/ Oreo cookie crust Mixed Berry Cream w/ shortbread crust. My oldest granddaughter(13) made Chocolate Ice cream with chocolate whipped cream and sprinkles My grandson(10 adopted) was the pie master Dressed the pies with three whipped toppings, three syrups (chocolate, mixed berry and Carmel) with candy sprinkles. Friday night we all made three homemade pizzas, one with alligator sausage. Saturday we all went to the Hard Rock Casino/Cafe in Biloxi. We all went night swimming (they never did that before). My son called when he got home. Cost him $60 down and $50 back. All in all, a really exciting weekend. But holy crap I'm bushed! |

Botched-jobbed my rose arch back together for now with a few bamboo sticks and ducttape. Hope it holds for a bit, fingers crossed we won't get another storm for a few weeks, preferably months.
I'd need a wooden one really, but those are too expensive |

Dissolving! I'll soon be a puddle. I like heat but not this furnace I'm having to endure Hihi, you're only having what we had earlier this week, and 28C is not even the worst of it. Even here in my flat country some places had 38C, same as Spain! Tomorrow another hot day, from what I gather in Scotland too. Hotter than today. And it won't cool off in the evening/night tomorrow, boohoo... That I really don't like! But I agree, a tad more steady and not these extremes would be a helluva lot nicer! Hang in there! |
