On the Office Christmas party night out, would you kiss a co-worker underneath the mistletoe? The Office Christmas party? Only if it is Mindy Kaling who is under the mistletoe. |

Then there's always the guy or gal that shows up at the party with this...

Thanks for all the replies, and it's good to see not a lot of "Bah Humbug". Yes, I would kiss underneath the mistletoe, after all it is Christmas! |

A weird thing to have at the office Christmas party, motivating people to get intimate while that is otherwise discouraged and unwanted on the work floor.
I wonder, do you still feel the same way about this if you had a partner and they had the same thing at office Christmas party? You man coming home to you with a silly grin, alcohol on his breath, and lipstick on his collar that ain't yours. Or, if you're a man... Your woman coming home, happy and tipsy, with the scent of another man's aftershave on her. Maybe it's just me :) I'm not familiar with this tradition other than seeing it in the movies. |

Well I have to admit I would have a problem with that. I think more of the fun of them, and what I see in the movies... especially in "Merry Kissmas" where they kiss under the mistletoe in the elevator In reality, at the workplace, if it were a married man he would either not get a kiss or just a little peck on the cheek as a holiday cheer kind of thing. The handsome gentleman would get a kiss, and then most likely he'd have to find another job so he could date me... since I don't get involved with co-workers I think mostly though, it's more about fun and Christmas cheer than anything else Crystal. Good points though! |

Good points though! Funny how it changes when you change the conditions around it, isn't it, haha. When single, and the other is too, it could be a bit of a sexy moment, even if just a peck on the cheek, if it's a man you could/do fancy. I do wonder however whether it's mostly a peck on the cheek or a cheeky opportunity to give a kiss on the lips. Which could still be okay if you like the person and you are single. Yet the thought of your partner being kissed on the lips by another woman... I would not be amused, Christmas tradition or no. |
