I realize that.. That's where the 'Grow a set' comes in. Especially if you love and are otherwise not unhappy. Blaming my indiscretions on others, should I ever find myself in that situation... Would simply be cowardice. A sure fire way to be treated as less then a man, is to act as less then a man.

Upbringings also encourage these acts; For some "growing a set" would be interpreted as using them as much as possible.

Either there was something wrong with him or you are wrong about him having it "made at home". Sometimes we don't realize that we aren't giving our significant other what they want and need. So instead of wondering what was wrong with him, you should probably review your own behavior and determine if there are changes you need to make. If you still think that you did nothing wrong, then you should probably just assume that there were inherit flaws in your man's character and move on.

I almost cheated once, i wasnt happy in my relationship.

I think if you keep it exciting they would not cheat men or women.It takes a lot to make a relationship work,you have to keep it exciting everyday.

Cheating is a cop-out. I wish men and women alike could just admit to their partner when they're not happy and either fix it or leave. No need to lie or cheat and bring an innocent third party into the mix...
