"President Donald Trump insisted again in a tweet Saturday that there is overwhelming support for border security and his southern border wall. He declared that “everyone” wants it “very badly” — except for “drug dealers, human traffickers, and criminals. In fact, no poll has found that most Americans support the wall or support funding for it.

A Quinnipiac poll in December found that 54 percent of Americans opposed the wall, while a Harvard CAPS/Harris survey the same month found that 56 percent did not support a wall. Only 35 percent of those surveyed in a Reuters/Ipsos poll supported including money for the wall in a federal spending bill".

I am not for holding the income of AMerican citizens as blackmail for money for a wall that will take time to build and is really not an emergency at all.

I respectfully disagree with that statement. Building a wall will do nothing. For the drug dealers, the wall will not even be a blip on their radar. At the most, it will be a minor inconvenience. All they will do is find another plain or boat to bring it in with. Or maybe some crooked politician that's willing to turn a blind eye for the right amount of money. Maybe even the mayor of some far-flung backwoods county that's willing to let them fly in at some remote part of the county. For the right amount of money, people can be bought. We are talking a billion dollar a year business here. They will find another way. They always do. And always will.

Not to mention the drones they now use to fly drugs over
undetected . Border agents want money to combat this technology NOT WALLS

US and Mexican authorities have discovered an incomplete cross-border drug smuggling tunnel complete with a rail track and a solar-powered lighting and ventilation system.

The US border patrol said on Tuesday that the clandestine passage measured 627 feet (191 meters), including 336ft inside US territory, in California. The tunnel builders had started working on an exit shaft north of the border, but had not broken the surface before it was discovered.

Mexican police discovered the tunnel on 19 September while searching a home 221ft south of the border, in the town of Jacume, in Baja California state.

The border patrol said that a solar panel system had been set up to power lighting and ventilation systems inside the tunnel, which was also equipped with a rail system along its entire length, and two pumps to drain water.

Drug smugglers often use tunnels to move their products across the US-Mexico border; dozens have been discovered in recent years – mostly in California and Arizona.

The San Diego-Tijuana region is popular because its clay-like soil is relatively easy to dig with shovels and pneumatic tools, and both sides of the border have warehouses that provide cover for trucks and heavy equipment.

The strategy was pioneered by the former head of the Sinaloa cartel, Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, who is currently awaiting trial in New York.

In 2015, Guzmán escaped from a maximum security prison through a hole in his shower floor which lead to a mile-long tunnel equipped with a modified motorcycle on rails. He was recaptured six months later and extradited to the US last year.

I'd love to see some illegals put a ladder up against the wall, then haul it over it and climb down the other side with it. I'd need a lawn chair and a beer for that show! What side of the wall will they fall over? Will it break in half? Or, will they drop it? Or will they set it up, upside down, and it telescope down with them on it? That could be better than tv. A 175 pound extension ladder isn't something one just throws around.

in Trumps first two fiscal years, with NO near depression inherited, we are projected to spend 2.4 trillion,,, not too far behind.

so if people are looking to be concerned about what is spent, they might not wanna praise Trump in that area just yet.

technically, if one starts at 11,657 trillion and adds 8.58 trillion, they have not doubled the deficit. That is an increase of 75 percent, not 100.
