Well I think I kind of explained why there was no link. My computer is down and I can not copy the link to my phone. I thought that was a valid reason. It's not? But I do apologise for giving the wrong newspaper. It is actually the New York Post..front page . And one of my points was that regardless of good news some will still find something wrong with it because they do not like the current chief therefor they can not accept anything positive that happens under his leadership And I think this was proven in this thread. (someone disagreed with your payrate comments and someone even provided a link disputing its value. 'lol' doesnt quite cut it in defending a position.) The hope of the political forum is that people can have mature, informative discussions. I dont think its purpose is to prove that some people will find something wrong with everything. Does that even need to be explored? Wouldnt it be more useful to defend your own point with actual information? If you havent got access to a computer, maybe wait til you do, before trying to guide an honest, informative, mature discussion... -OR- respect the opinions of others when unable to research their stance yourself. Wait til you have time to research those points of view. I for one, am grateful for your posts. I get a great deal of education from them just learning about other perspectives, and looking things up to see what I think about whatever the topic relates to. Very cool. Just not excited about the erosion of information this forum sometimes generates. This will always be true: Some of us will hold personal love for the incumbent. Some of us will hold personal hate for the incumbent. Some of us will sit and lurk and watch and take notes to fool those who are too far to either side. Some of us will have no idear, and will burn up the internet search engines to try to figure it out. Some of us will be 'yes-men' to certain other posters. Most of us are in between all of that. |

I dont know if the BLS has ever changed the equation they use to figure the unemployment numbers
and I have heard how they are not the 'real numbers'. and maybe that is true. But the point would be that, even if they are not the 'real numbers' in terms of raw data, the trend of increase or decrease is not altered. so if Im counting percentage of blondes, but I HAVE ALWAYS used natural and unnatural blondes, that number having an increase or decrease is just as real as if I had ALWAYS used only natural blondes. |

The trend started by Obama, and the numbers as a trend was the same in 2015-2016. Nothing to do with Trump himself. Just a development continuing after a man that took over a totally destroyed world but was able to correct it, and get it back on track. Taking the credit for the upswing made by another genious is just saad. But isn't that a typical.... Lol. |

I understand what your saying, and agree somewhat....but(imo) if someone wants information, they need to look it up for themselves... None of the jobs/no jobs information is accurate...never has been, never will be...bush and Obama both lied and pushed the numbers in their favor, by only using one resource, or a combo of resources to make the numbers more favorable... Bush mainly used the unemployment claims to bolster his numbers, because when the money runs out, he presented it as people getting a job, saying unemployment claims we're down, but in actuality the benefits time was up and they still didn't have a job... Obama did the same thing, but he also had people count the total jobs by US companies, divided the number of jobs filled by the total number of people that can work in the US... Just some tricks they use to get they unemployment numbers in their favor... |

Obama regulated businesses to death, that's a fact. We in the remodeling end of things, saw an obama decree that said we were supposed to register, and have lead abatement contractor survey our jobs before we started work. HA HA HA HA!
It didn't happen. Most of us didn't bother to. Construction was tight enough, that we didn't want to add costs to our projects. We knew what we were looking at. We also knew it was a way for big government to stand there with their hands out, and control us. No way, no how, go take a flying leap. Instead, we watched lead abatement contractors go under. I'm seeing lots of help wanted signs out, and obama had ZERO to do with that.- Question-If obama had something to do with our current rise in jobs, then why didn't it happen when he was in office? He will forever be known as the job killer. |

If you cant be responsible enough to provide a link for people to respond to, they will pay you back by responding with their own reflections, as you have done. I would love to send the link but I am on my cell. But Just pull up the New York Daily News. Front page . The article spells out all of the positive things in "New York Daily New"... Yeah. That's about as reputable as the British "Weekly World News".... P.S "New York Post" is also about as reputable.. How about a REAL paper..like the Washington Post...or the New York Times, eh? |

I'm seeing hiring signs in the town I work in. Yesterday I noticed hiring signs here in the tiny town I live in. My long term tenant is moving back in with her mom now that her husband died. I'm moving back into my larger home since I'm working.

as well or poorly as the previous job plan has if we are going to tie job creation that criteria ...
job growth of 200,000 is not that uncommon, who ever's job plan we look at. |

I saw they are having a tough time finding enough 911 operators. A higher salary hasn't helped.

It is a relief that people aren't taking other's lives in their hands as a matter of making money.
Not every job is for everybody, at ANY wage. |
