Halloween has not been an official thing in any of the countries I've lived (China, Indonesia, Egypt, Kazakhstan). However, most international schools (especially the American international schools) do celebrate it. It is a holiday that parents from other countries tend to LOVE. And some communities (especially where expats live) will get together and arrange trick-or-treating in their neighborhoods for the kids. Halloween was kind of popular in China. There would be some commercial areas in town where the stores and clubs would decorate and have Halloween Parties. Is it celebrated much in Canada?

It is over-celebrated here in Canada ... and sad to say , there are even some pervs taking part by putting crap in the kids' loot bags .. parents have to inspect all treats before the kids even open one ...
