Topic: Types of Privilege | |

People get uneasy talking about privilege, because no one knows how best to solve the problem, or what will be decided. People also get uneasy talking about overpopulation for the same reason. They would rather let an inadvertent outcome happen rather than talk about it. I think privilidge is a good thing, like freedom. Everyone should have more of it. I think ownership priveledge should be to those who care the most, and operator priveledge should go to those with the most technical capacity. Both the hardworking poor person who is a selfless asset, and the securely planning rich person who makes everyone around him have more privilege, are similar in that they are important to society. smart kid. I was also saying that privilege is not something to be defensive about but something to just be acknowledged, so that we can better value the importance on something other than 'merit' that is so defined by privilege. |

The question is what to do with the dead weight of society. The lazy Non working can't support themselves leeches. The ones who only create more work for others. Nature use to have a course for this. Our generous welfare system has bred them like cockroaches.

Our generous welfare system has bred them like cockroaches. the topic was actually privilege. There is no way to be dead weight for long. EVeryone works in some capacity and contributes over their lifetime. Lets deal with the fathers who are able but unwilling to support the children they make spreading their seed around. That would save 'taxpayers' the precious money they are so concerned might feed someone else's kid. Lets also do better in underserved communities with living wages and opportunities to build mentorships, references, and skills so children have a better chance of doing better than their parents again. It would also help if there could be an amendment to collect revenue from corporations who use under the table immigrant workers and from tax fraudsters and no longer give any more subsidies to corporations who have EVER filed bankruptcy, being that shows not the most responsible use of past subsidies ... all of that would greatly reduce revenue and reduce the number of children in need ... |

American Citizens are privileged just to be borned in America.. Those that don't feel privileged can go live in a 3rd world. Country. Oh wait! Many of them are flooding the US illigally ! yes, GLOBALLY, living in certain countries is a privilege too. but WITHIN this country, there are other privileges people pretend dont matter or exist. it doesnt matter to many people, which is the point. it matters to ME because it fuels the negative and damaging stereotypes about who has 'merit' and who 'deserves' ..... Yes, doesn't matter to many people ... indeed.. including... me. sad for you and so many others blinded by the privilege they think they 'deserve' more than others ... Privilege?. deserve?... we earned what we have... we WORKED for it. That is why we have what we have... nobody served it to us. |

Society at large works like a mob. The money someone winds up with is a fortunate “privilidge” from God. Economic competition may not be as effective as team relationships and collaborative innovation, but it is less destructive than war. A more harmonious society can exist as a small community within the society at large, operating in whole as an individual within the mob.
Giving up privacy and acknowledging priviledge requires mutual trust and respect, which does not happen in overcrowded society because people do not value each other. When I see the good fortune that others have, it is an inspiration to me to keep on living and striving, because it gives a vision of how life could be better than it presently is. I consider my self to be very fortunate. |

No one will ever be able to understand each other, but all one needs is to be able to trust one another.

I agree with that. It is very important to have an internal locus of control. One does not need to concern themselves with privileges they don’t have, God will take care of that. |

Society can't really hold men responsible for children when the women don't hold them responsible. A lot of them don't know who is their baby's father. So how doesn't the govt know who to go after? My opinion is the woman is required to have her tubes tied when having baby number 2 on welfare. That's already too much irresponsibility packed off on tac payers. I live in an underserved community. I didn't apply at McDonald's when looking for work. I think a minimum wage increase is long overdue but it's up to the individual to find work paying enough to pay their bills. Kids shouldn't need mentors. That's what parents and grandparents are for. People need to step up and take care of their own families. Kids in privileged homes have parents busting their *** to create that environment. They don't have time to worry about somebody else kids Kids should be able to get an education but programs have been spending money on kids who don't or can't benefit from it. I saw an interview of an under privileged kid who was given a chance at college. She got knocked up and had to quit. She was pregnant again during the interview. She isn't cut out for a bright future. She needs a job and her tubes tied. Then she can look for her kids a man who is willing to be a dad to them. |

I got your penny today, Here are my thoughts...
Rights and privileges are a delusion specific to our species. In other animals on this planet there is no such thing as privilege and no such things as rights. There are times when a predator doesn't try to eat the prey, it has absolutely nothing to do with privilege or rights. Rights and privileges in humans is permission. Nothing more. I'm not referring to the Bill of Rights, I am referring to the rights we give other human beings during interactions. These rights become a sense of privilege. That privilege causes a behavior change by changing our expectations of ourselves and others. Animals will kill you for many reasons. Yes, a predator may kill you and eat you but even prey animals will kill you for a variety of reasons including just because you are there. They don't usually bite you but they will kick you or trample you, if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time. Humans will not. However, if you remove a human's comfort zone and force it to go into survival mode, rights and privileges go right out the window. When facing death because you are starving the rights and privileges of others has very little importance. In SHTF survival scenarios, rights and privileges are only given when they contribute to a survival condition. The controlling members of the group sets the rights and privileges for the other members of the group. If one's rights and privileges can be revoked, they are not true conditions of life. There are many examples of how rights and privileges are delusional portrayed in fiction. Literature and movies showing post-apocalyptic scenarios. There is however natural conditions where rights and privileges can be revoked. Most common is our prisons, dictatorships and war. In war, a bullet doesn't just bounce off your body because you have the right to life or are from a rich, powerful lineage. It doesn't care if you have privileges. It doesn't care if you have rights. |

Grown ups cant hold legal adults responsible with out LAWS being enforced to help them do so. and adults who are not responsible are choosing their own path, not the woman they are with, so yes, it is primarily THE MAN who is responsible for being a FATHER to their kid(regardless of marital status) my first husband has been more of a father to his kid, than the man I am unfortunately still married to has ever been. dont take away reproductive rights, do more to make men behave like men. |
