In which alternate reality, was the economy booming during the previous administration? the same reality where Trump did "more" in his first 15 months than Obama did in eight years probably 'booming' is up for debate, but 'improved' is not ... Again, I agree with msharmony. |

no one on the right takes the Clinton News Network aka CNN seriously
They can say all they want, they are now a tabloid station masquerading as a news network. |

Again, I agree with msharmony. There was nothing in my post that came close to resembling 'hating' anyone. The borders were safe under Obama as well. deals 'hurting' America is a subjective call and not a qualitative reference. 'leaving americans to die' is also an emotional and subjective call since plenty of Americans die under every administration that can subjectively be blamed on poor decisions of the administration ... Taking trump or taking obama has nothing to do with silly statements comparing who has 'done more'. |

no one on the right takes the Clinton News Network aka CNN seriously They can say all they want, they are now a tabloid station masquerading as a news network. people will pick and choose 'news' that fits their bias. So I suppose people 'on the right' dont take CNN any more seriously than people 'on the left' take FOX. But as someone wise stated, 'facts dont lie' and both have to be taken with acknowledgement of their particular brand of audience/sponsor mandated perspective/spin and the ability to listen for the pieces that are 'fact' and seperate from the descriptions/perspectives/adjectives that come back to opinion. |

I dont take Fox news seriously either, we call it the Trump super pac station.
Independent sources are the best place for actual news . CNN is the place for anti Trump stuff and pro HiLIARy/democrat stuff Fox is the place for Anti HiLIARy and pro Trump stuff just my opinion though. |

Respect. I think even independent sources have spin and bias though. I think publicly funded (not corporate sponsored) sources tend to work harder to have minimum spin. But they all report 'facts' if their audience is willing to understand how to spot a fact from an opinion.

CNN= Corrupt News Network

if an independent source has a bias then they are not independent as they claim.

Boarders have never been safe under the last administration. Now, that is a silly statement.

Boarders have never been safe under the last administration. Now, that is a silly statement. Are you saying that Obama kept us safe and the borders secure? |
|
|
|
Silly is pretending their is 'danger' that changes significantly from administration to administration. what is silly is the subjective definition of 'safe' people use when discussing the border.
I cant think of terrorism here that is committed by someone who crossed the border illegally and I cant think of any administration who avoided ANY illegal crossings or some of those crossings committing crimes. borer is a non issue used in the politics of fear and distraction whenever political cycles come up 'the them versus us' banging of drums that elicits blind loyalty. |

Ms.Harmony please tell that to the family of Kate Steinle. please tell that to the family of Ronald da Silva, Tessa Tranchant, Sarah Root,Drew Rosenberg, Grant Ronnebeck and there are plenty more Border patrol and safety IS AN ISSUE. udnrboss, Im sure I can tell that to many people who have lost people to someone that crossed over in ANY administratoin, without completely closing borers to ANYONE some of that is going to happen, though far far less than it happens with home grown citizens. the border is no more crime free than domestic gun violence is but there is no way we are going to ever make them completely safe and without criminals that occasionally get though the border or criminals that get guns all we can do is a better job at making it a bit safer, and the border has been getting safer since 2000, and is relatively safe when compared to crime done by citizens against other citizens so my point is comparing one administration to another by some arbitrary concept of it being 'safe' is pointless. crossings will always happen, just as much as people will always have guns, for example, some of those crossers will hurt others, just as some of those guns will be in DOMESTIC hands that hurt others but I would never claim that one President made us safer from gun use than another because its a silly and arbitrary comparison that cannot be quantifiably justified. |

ms.harmony,
are we talking about borders or guns? it seems we are going in two directions. 2) Ive never claimed or compared administrations when it comes to border safety, so Im not sure where you going with that. 3) how do you know illegal crossing is on the decline since 2000, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has never clearly defined what border control means so how can they say its on the decline? many folks have questioned Obama's claim that the border crossing for illegals have declined. and that isnt my opinion |

I was responding to a post implying Obama did not live up to some standard of 'safe' borders that Trump does. there is no more or less safety at the borders between either one. illegal crossings are recorded. and have been on the decline since the 2000s. The only way to qualify that is to look at the numbers being caught, any conclusion outside of that is only going to be based on bias and not fact. and the apprehensions have greatly decreased, as the same time that there has been increased deportations, since 2000 anything can be made into an issue, but some are intentionally spun into a more scanalous large scale issue than they are ... coincidentally becoming serious only during election years ...and almost always like clock work EVERY ELECTION year |

ms.harmony,
Im afraid you are wrong about the deportation, the myth that Obama deported more than Bush is wrong. Obama changed the definition of deportation. Prior to 2008, deportation was someone who was taken into custody, held in a detention center, vetted, finger printed and then escorted out of the country. Obama's definition, people are stopped at the border, detained for a few hours and sent home. |

Obama's definition, people are stopped at the border, detained for a few hours and sent home. I never made a comparison between Bush and Obama. the definition of deportation has not changed, it still requires being sent to the home country. the change under Bush was actually that those who were previously 'volunteer' returns that were simply turned back and not recorded were not counted Under Bush they began to be counted AS WELL |

I didnt say you did, I was comparing Deportation under Bush and previous Administrations compared to Obama.
