How about this one....
There is plenty of food at home yet they still go along to the neighbours and help them eat their barbecue?! |

Why does a cat like sleeping under the covers? That's like asking why one person prefers a pickup truck while another prefers an Audi R8. Cats are as different as humans, and only your cat knows why it prefers under the covers rather than a different place - and it's not interested in telling you its reasoning, for you are merely the servant. Could be security, could be warmth, could be a lot of things. Each of my several cats has their own preferred place to spend the night (none of which are under any blankets), and fortunately my face is not one of those places. Well, at least not completely.

Yeah, my favorite cat loved to sleep by the window. Her favorite place. I'd get into bed and she she had to jump on the bed and get way under the blankets. I don't know why.

My cats always wanted to fight over the spot between my knees when I slept.
Meanwhile, the cat that I had when I was a child liked to sleep between my pillow and the wall, right next to me. Not the warmest spot, but I think she liked the feeling of security. Over the years, I think I've only had one cat that never slept in my bed with me. That was the first one. Even my sister's cat, Fahrfvergnugen, always wanted to sleep in my bed. Now she's getting old (getting close to 20 years!), and she still comes to my lap whenever I'm around. A couple years ago, I stayed at my sister's for a few months. I woke up a couple mornings with Fahrf curled up next to me, just like old times. I was sleeping on a basement couch at the time. I don't know what it is, but animals just seem to love me, even if they aren't my own pets. Even my friend Caitlin took a photo of me sleeping on a couch with her Boxer curled between the back of the couch and myself once. |

Two of my cats like to sleep in my arms ... well, I have two of them, but my cats always pick the same arm out of principle. It ends up in arguing cats in the middle of the night ... every given night

Oh, one of my cats used to love to rub and snuggle in armpits. She would sniff and rub her head in it, the flip over before rolling back over to repeat the whole process. Eventually, she would fall asleep with head firmly wedged into the armpit.
And that's the same cat that would rollover to have its belly rubbed like a dog's. |

Sure cats are just beautiful. I can't even sleep if there wasn't at least one cat with me. And this week is hard enuff for me, so I have all four cats gathering around me

I don't understand humans, cats I understand If your understanding of cats is that they taste good broiled, stewed, or roasted... ...then you might be a Melmacian. But seriously, does anybody really understand humans? We like to complicate even the simplest things. |

I don't understand humans, cats I understand I hereby sign it A cat never disappointed me. Humans do so all the time. |

Sometimes when I'd go to bed, my cat would try to sleep across my neck. I had to push her off because I couldn't breathe.

I just took in one of our old cat... had since baby ... and now she needs a lot of attention ...least thats why I took her ... same with a foster dog I have ... they get along fine ... but here is the thing ... I sleep with 4 blankets on my bed ... all pretty heavy in some way ... my cat loves to go all the way under them ... when bed time ... she has done this ...even when I visited and slept with me before I had her full time ... I would like to know ... how the H**l they can breath under so many blankets ... any thoughts ... Do you have a small home? When I had an efficiency apartment, my cat would do that. I also live in an area that gets cold, and have had cats do that to stay warm. They may have fur, but they still like to be warm and cozy like us. Rule of thumb, if you're cold, your cat is too. Give your cat vertical space (such as a cat tree) to climb around. Get old clothes and use them for a cat bed to keep them warm and cozy and so thy have their own space with your scent. Your cat may just like to borrow in the blankets because they are like kids and think it's fun to do so. |

My cats are FARRR easier to understand than people: they want food....or many choices of food....want a warm place to sleep...are never sure if they want to be in or out...and like to play....
