I read a lot of profiles that emphasize how important the personality is , but it seems like , looks will always be most important . you can be honest , respectable , an all around decent guy but I think that takes a back seat if the look isn't there . it seems shorter men are in the same boat as BBW women. the one difference is a BBW person can do something about their disadvantage .They can lose the weight . medically they can even change my gender but they can't make me taller lol. i'm stuck with the height i'm at . in the past year out of all the profiles i've responded to , most never even replied , out of the ones that did 8 were truthful enough to let me know that they perfer men tall . 3 of those were in the height range of 5' to 5'2' . don't get me wrong i'm in no way bitter . i just never realized in my younger years how wide spread this issue was percentage wise . it explains a lot . like i said i'm not bitter or upset about the whole thing . i could blame hollywood , right from the time were young they portray girls worth having as having the hourglass figure and guys are tall well sculptured hunks . i'm sure it goes deeper than that . so go after that tall guy , but remember a lot of other women are giving him the eye to . good luck to all .

I thought you were going to be under 5'. I see that you are 5' 5". That may be shorter than a lot of guys but I don't consider that short. The problem is not with you my friend but with them if they cannot see past the height issue.

I agree with Poetrywriter. It shouldn't be an issue. Although I understand the frustration when you run across some that prefer taller men. It's a personal preference, so not a whole lot you can do about that, sorry to say.

My height used to bother me, but then I realized with being as short as I am, I don't have to worry so much about bumping my head.

I have yet to meet someone who had NO preferences...and to the persons who did not meet those preferences to consider them "unfair" to some degree...you have highlighted just one from an incredible list of human physical characteristics which people cast votes of preferences for or not...

6 foot...( or a bit taller) that is the number they are looking for. I have found that women are not attracted to short men. ( just a observation)

I'm 6 foot and never had issue, but I have a few short friends and they say it is a big deal to the ladies.

Here short men have been known to have a bit more attitude,

Yes I'm only 5'1" and I have always seemed to like taller men.. 5'10 and up.... Even dated one guy that was 6'4" ...

But if the chemistry is there with one that is shorter it will happen..

When online, well your out the door for they have more of a choice then when you just happen to meet them face to face...

Yeppiers even I tend to look no shorter then 5'7' reason is when we go out women tend to like to wear some sort of a shoe with a heel on it.. And well we feel sexier if the man is taller then we are with heels~~
