2 soon to be disciplined police officers and a protester who walked into a police station to take social media pics.

I wonder if MsH still thinks it's ok to protest while on the job?

There's a million reasons to gripe and millions of gripers

It's terribly selfish of them to expose us all to their individual "gripes"

Go ahead and support this clown show but soon enough, you'll be shaking your head saying "was that necessary?" to some idiot who wants public exposure to his/her personal "gripe".

Respect to Villanueva for standing alone with the opposing team and fans to celebrate the anthem, all the other Steelers should have been warned to step onto that field or be suspended indefinitely... pull the plug on the season and their paychqs if necessary. Such disgrace IMHO.

its no more selfish than what Tebow did,,, it was not disruptively acting, but quietly meditating to self,,,

no. in this 'job' their 'job' is not about making people money, so stricter rules can apply and I imagine, clearer contracts are written up and signed.

The problem is...it is ok for one side but not the other. Tebow was bashed for praying but now these players wants their side only and God forbid...anyone oppose them. They want the 1st amendments (even though they are in uniform "on the job") but no one has a right to pull sponsorship or boycott? Ridiculous.

their job is whatever their contract calls for, which is not just about 'playing football', or they would not have a pregame ritual that is about pledging allegiance, THAT is not football, that is politics.

and

if Alle's reference is to believed, is more about whatever SUBJECTIVE standards of 'conduct' the owners decide will either bring in more money or hurt their money

it is a completely different type of 'job' or contract from a police officer.

'kneeling in thanks' is also not 'playing football' btw,,,

you think he kneels just because he gets a touch down? or that he only knealt when he got touchdowns? Interesting.

But regardless of the reason, it flies in the face of the theory that ballers are played 'just to play football'

As they have 1st amendment rights...others have the same. If there is enough that disagree and they lose money...so be it. Where is Kaepernick? I have heard the majority...sounds right huh

I dont recall saying anyone got away. I pointed out the fact that its about making money as much as it is about playing football. Tebows action was also not 'playing football' but it didnt offend enough 'snowflakes' to risk the owners pockets,, so his career continued.

Kaepernick was not 'playing football' when he likewise quietly knealt, but that action was more offensive to that same base, risking the bottom line , so he was quietly dismissed from his career ...

I dont think it would be an issue if ALL that happened to Kaepernick was some 'bashing'.

FFS..Tebow was bashed for it. Kaepernick was bashed. Not a hard concept! They have a right to free speech and those on the other side do too. Not everything in life needs an argument!

Beckham celebrated his first touchdown of the game by mimicking a dog urinating. He later said it was in response to President Donald Trump referring to anyone who kneels for the anthem as a "son of a b----."
