Topic: Wrong Time Period | |

Ever feel like you were born in the wrong time period? If so, what time period do you think you should've been born in and why?
Just for fun. :) I'd like to have been raised in the 60s. I remember awesome stories from family about the hippie days and would have loved to see it. |

Yup. I should have been born about 20 years before I was. I at least had a great taste of the 70s.
I dont like Tech and Today. I like 8-tracks and old baseball cards and Godzilla movies on Monster Matinee and 1.50 all day at the theatre with my buddies watching Three Stooges and 5$ baseball games and my old green Schwinn bike and all that cool stuff. When I want to go back in time I play with my old SSP's and my AFX slot car track. hahaha |

haha, yeah, it seems it pops up once in awhile but it's nice to imagine sometimes.
Looking to the future is always awesome, considering what is coming out and what is in the works. To go back for at least a day or two though, I imagine it would be quite a trip. mui887, I agree. I get nostalgic with old games and videos. |

I was born in the 70's but in my opinion 80's is the golden age of music and movies.

I used to think that I had sensibilities which were more in tune with the nineteenth century than my own, but I've since learned more, and changed my mind.
My only remaining regret, is that I chanced to be born between eras, in many ways. Too late to be a baby-boomer, and too early to be a millennial. That meant that all of the media and politicians chatter about the world, pretty much ignored my generations concerns and existence. |

I was born 500 million years too early, on the wrong planet and I should have been a plant.

I have had the pleasure of living through the 50's, 60's,
70's, 80's, 90's and the new millennium. But once I had TV, Stereo, and the Internet, nothing much else has improved. So I would pick the 50's, when things were simple and families were all the same. |

I agree - I was born in the 50's so I always missed the best part of the 60's before people became so jaded ( all I know that my generation was so apathetic after Vietnam & Watergate. Either that or the Victorian era - only for the clothes! |

Dont tell that 8-track wasnt about the coolest years ago even though when you clicked to get a different track you didnt know what the heck was going on. I always took it out of the player and had to look at the music list and hope for the best. You cant tell me that The 5th Dimension on 8-Track wasnt about the best thing on the planet, or some Tom Jones. HA |

They have been back for years. But I dont the price. 15-20$ for an old album I rode my bike to get and paid 3-4 bucks for? Or my 50-99cent 45's. LOL |

When I want to go back in time I play with my old SSP's and my AFX slot car track. hahaha AFX was the bomb. I had Sizzlers too... SSP''s sounds familiar too... those the ones with the wheel in the middle and you yanked a t-handle thing through it to make it go? |

Every time I hear the phrase, "The Good Old Days", I say, "Yeah, they WERE the good old days if you were a white male."
