I've been trying to talk all night about the hurricane. I guess nobody is interested. I followed this for a short time on the Internet, pretty scary! But you're right cat, I often am surprised in the threads of how little interest is shown for some topics especially as important as this! You don't even need to have an opinion but just a good luck wish wouldn't hurt! The latest I've seen is it has not let up yet and seems to have stalled. |

After listening to the cry babies in New Orleans after Katrina for years I don't really care about storms in that area anymore. People don't learn or what to help each other out. They know the risk of living on the coast. When we get storms there is very little warning and people chip in to help others afterwards, and we get over it. I don't hear a lot about the drought and fires in the Northwest but they are getting thru it. Its not like they are just going to change this storm, its up to the people to understand what they need to do about it.

Ok, what is the situation there now? People still in need of rescue I've seen on the news?

Ok, what is the situation there now? People still in need of rescue I've seen on the news? Right now it's stalled and they are expecting more rain and flooding. Could last for several more days. Over 1000 people have been rescued so far and the weather channel is saying three died from the storm. It's down graded to a Tropical Storm. Here's the weather channel link https://weather.com/storms/hurricane/news/hurricane-harvey-houston-texas-flooding |

Your lucky to have power. They are opening places here in Dallas for victims. How bout the mayor telling everyone to stay home. If I lived in Houston, I'd own a boat.

I can't believe nobody else in the US cares about this. I can't speak for others but speaking for myself...I am in Texas and have loved ones in the hurricane area. I am in it in real life. I don't need to discuss it here. |

I have family in Houston who are thankfully fine. Acts of nature happen all over the world and we have to endure them the best we can.

I was speaking for myself amd my family. All we hear is about the storm, we keep checking on loved ones and are following it intensively. I was referring to why others aren't concerned. Not those that post Not sure about the eye rolling though. |

I like to hear about it. not that anyone can actually do anything but it's on our mind I was looking around the room with the eye rolling making sure it's ok |
