I'm sure their time pressures and want of quick conversions makes them cut their losses when someone is not eager enough, or asks too many pointed questions.
A couple of nice LDS girls tried to get me to join, one gave me her personal 'bible' after a few home visits, and then they gave up, sending a couple of suits to put the heavy on me. I gave them much religious talk to think about also, all very politely. Then they all gave up after about 2 months, and I think my house was marked as 'do not visit' because no one ever visited again although they canvassed everyone around me regularly. Their book is similar, names are changed, details changed, same type of stories from a slightly different point of view. Hang out with them as long as it is pleasant to do so. |

I had a similar experience with the Jehovah Witnesses. |
