I don't normally go to the Religion and Political forums but I just want to put in my two cents.
I was brought up a Catholic and although I am not a practicing Catholic now, I still and will always believe in God. That said, I say God created man. ... what? not worth two cents? |

Lets see...
An imbalance occurred causing energy release. Energy coalesced into matter at an expanding rate and more complex molecules were created. Mass caused gravity and gravity created even more complex bonds. Forward fast about 14 billion years. The first humans started using their brains to forecast events. Time was conceptualized. Humans rational brains needed a way to soften the reality and control other humans so they could have more things. Not quite understanding what they were seeing the imagined some unseen force to be responsible for the reality they saw. They created a bunch of Gods to explain that reality. They got really good at it. They set laws in place concerning those Gods and established punishments for non-compliance. Forward fast a couple hundred thousand years and now GOD has created everything and is everywhere. The most recent few decades, humans have become better able to understand the reality they encounter and have no need for some deity to explain it all. The idea of GOD, GODs, is waning with enlightenment thru science and testing. Proofs are now needed for people to 'believe'. But, what difference does it really make if you believe in God or not? If you are happy with life, anything you believe should be fine. I am perfectly fine allowing anyone to believe what they will if it makes their life complete. I believe the imbalance was initialized by something. |

God created man as he did the universe
it is why the creation has such a limited knowledge compared to the creator its like expecting a newborn to understand quantum physics, at times |

Did god create man... or man create god? I believe man created all the 'Gods' to explain his questions about life. |

(Captain Obvious reporting?)
Two mutually contradictory assertions ... Thinking about what kind of basis, in each case, might make the assertion plausible - "Man created god" : a reasonable extent of knowledge about humans might do (as from psycho/socio/anthropo-logies) "God created man" : no idea. |

1. It is not possible to either prove, or disprove the existence of any god, by definition. God(s) is/are defined as SUPERNATURAL. The true definition of supernatural, includes "not subject to the laws or logic of science or man."
2. All human descriptions of gods, are created (obviously) by humans. Again, by definition. Therefore.. IF god(s) exist, and created humanity, then the logical and accurate answer to the question as posed is, that first god created people, then people created their own guesses about god. IF god does not exist, then the answer is much shorter, of course. Although I do not myself believe in god or gods, since I do know that disproof of god is impossible, Logically, anyone who claims decisively that they know god does not exist, is doing so on faith alone. Which serves to rather completely undermine their credibility, if they also claim to base everything on unbiased reasoning. |

Man created God. Thousands of years ago, it was difficult to understand many things that happened, and so to explain it all, man decided that a superior being was the cause. It was a logical conclusion for them. It encompassed everything that they as man could NOT do. Earthquakes, rain, thunder and lightning, wind, all of these things needed an explanation for man's curious mind.
Of course, then, when other things happened, God was the cause. The concept built up until it was a major being. Then along came Christianity, which is all based on complete lies (although they didn't consider them lies at the time, the Gospels were never meant to be taken as literal truth). Although Jesus was very likely real (the earliest historical mention is in Flavius Josephus's Antiquities of the Jews, written in 94ad (although there is suggestion that it may be a forgery). Others mentioning him include Pliny and Thaddeus. But the Gospels were made up, mostly by Matthew and John. Mark's Gospel, written in 70ad does NOT mention the birth of Jesus, he appears at the age of 30 when he meets John the Baptist. And the resurrection is not in Mark at all. Before anyone says that it is, I will point out that the resurrection in Mark was added a long time later to make it consistent with the other Gospels. Jesus, in real life, was a revolutionary who wanted the overthrow of Rome, which is why he was crucified for sedition. Matthew created the Biblical version of Jesus around 60 years after the crucifixion, and based the story on the prophecy of a man who would lead the Jews to the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom became Heaven, even though the REAL Kingdom of God was actually just Palestine, which according to legend, was given directly to the Jews by God. Because Jesus was executed before he could do this, Matthew had to have him come alive again, and so created the resurrection story. As the leader would, according to the prophecy, be born in the city of David (Bethlehem), the birth of Jesus was placed there, even though Jesus was actually born in Nazareth. Although the census that took place was real, no-one had to move to their town of birth. That makes no sense at all. The census was to aid taxation, so how would you know what they owned (house size, oxen, slaves and servants, etc) if they were not there? Apart from that, Nazareth was in Galilee, and so the census wasn't taken there anyway. The prophecy also stated that the Savior would emerge from Egypt, so the Slaughter of the Innocents, where every male child two and under was killed to prevent the birth of the Savior. This NEVER happened, there is no record of it. However, by creating it, and having Jesus and his family flee to Egypt for safety, you now had him 'emerge from Egypt' later. This is typical of the Bible, base the stories on half truths, legends, prophecy, and outright lies, to form a tale. As I said, these are not 'lies' as such, they were never meant to be taken as true stories. |

maybe it is best to look at all said gods spoken by mankind and put them to the test.
let's say each god has a story to it. we will add the Bible in this since it is also a story. now, of all of the stories and specifics within each story do we know factually took place? if we took literature of voodoo, hindu, Buddhist, Viking myth, greek myth, irish myth, Egyptian myth, etc and compared them from beginning to end. which one has the most truths that took place? for one, the Bible first off is a lineage record of the Hebrew Jew people. the stories included within describe their deity. but, if you took all the names of those listed not Jewish, all of things pertaining to Jewish history, all of the things pertaining to geography, and the timelines what would you actually discover? the Bible that includes the God Yahweh/Yeshua has been proven on thousands of accounts. even today it included Israel bombing Damascus which factually took place last week. in fact, things written between 2,000 years and 5,000 years have been proven factual and all major prophecies have taken place. so, when you find literature that is like reading your future or horoscope, and what was predicted 4,000 years ago is factually happening today compared to other literature that nothing factually took place, it's safe to say maybe the Hebrews knew of a real God. after all, the other books written cannot prove anything but that it's good to wipe your butt on!! idk, but if i have a manuscript that what is written in it is factually happening, i think i would be stupid to not pay attention to it!! |
