Just tell him he's not your type. If he's got anything about him he'll appreciate the honesty instead of bullchit.

Just be yourself and honest, if that doesn't work, then, block his a..

I think this would work the best and would not sound offending, especially with a smile at the end. Thank you. You can learn more about a guy when he is rejected, than by anything he proffers prior to that. And they will turn on you, no matter how polite you are. I tried for a long time to reply to all but after some hideously vile replies I stopped altogether. That IS a reply :-) |

I follow the example set for me by a courteous woman that I reached out to on another site some years back. She thanked me for reaching out, indicated she didn't think we were a match, and closed with "I hope you find what you seek." I thanked her and wished her well in her search.
