I'm not per se, but I did see it in a show in Baja one night.

I AM AN ANIME!!!!

I love anime. I have a lot of favorites. I'll just list a few.
Neon Genesis Evangelion, Excel Saga (best comedy anime I've seen), Trigun, Cowboy bebop, Samurai Champloo, FLCL, and Jungle Wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu. Currently I'm watching Azumanga Daioh. So many people love Inuyasha, but I'll only really watch it if there's nothing else on.

Neon Genesis Evangelion used to be one of my favourites. It's an INCREDIBLY ambitious series, but it gets too abstract at the end to really make it seem like a satisfying whole. The characters are absolutely marvelous, though and the music does a great job of amplifying the mood.

Cowboy Bebop is definitely good. It's polished in every regard. I could wax on about it, but it's really sufficient to say that there's nothing NOT to like about Bebop.

Three that I particularly enjoy which have not yet been mentioned are Ninja Scroll, Gunsmith Cats, and Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou (Kare Kano.)

Ninja Scroll is a classic that stands alongside Akira and Ghost in the Shell (honourable mentions, but not favourites of mine.) The plot is kind of hokey, but the animation is viscerally beautiful.

The Gunsmith Cats OAV is my favourite show for introducing newbies to anime. It has a plot that is reasonably familiar to American audiences, but in animated form.

Kare Kano is quirky, but it appeals to me because it is an unabashedly human. At first glance, it appears to be a melodramatic teen soap opera. A closer look, though, shows it to be an incisive vignette of the emotional turmoil that is very real to many young people.

The voice actor for Ichigo*Bleach*, and Vash The Stampede *Trigun* are voiced by Jhonny Young Bosh, the 2nd Black Ranger in The First Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

I'll admit the end wasn't the way I would have chosen to end the series. That's why I'm glad they redid the last two episodes in End of Evangelion. I think that was a much better way to end the series. Oh, and has anyone seen Noir? I couldn't help but see Kirika's character is basically just Rei [Evangelion] with a bit of Motoko [Ghost in the Shell]. Maybe that's just me.

There is another anime discussion thread. Anyhow, yes. I love anime. Own about 800 disks. I like some American-style cartoon...er animated shows, but can't stand Sponge Bob. No interest in The Simpsons or King of The Hill either.

(action): Berserk, Basilisk, Gundam Seed, Full Metal Panic, & Cowboy Bebop.

(mystery, sport, other): Princess 9, Angelic Layer, Spiral,Dual, & Last Exile

LOVE ANIME! and yes, Inuyasha DOES count! Thats my favorite! I also love Full Metal Alchemist and I really think Kill Bill would've been better if it had been in all anime...

Hmm.... it seems we have an otaku. But it's good to see people that watch more anime than what's on [adult swim]. Don't get me wrong, they play some great anime (That's actually how I really got into it), but there's so much more out there.

Seems girls love Inuyasha... wonder why that is?

That being said Sango is almost the perfect woman. She goes from sweet pretty dress Sango to hardcore black leather Sango in like 5 seconds! And she puts up with all miroku's hormonal stupidity.

As much as I don't really like that show, I have to agree with you on that.
