contingency plan:
-telling a friend to call you with an "emergency" when your date shows up and looks nothing like her profile pic -having a "headache" when the guy you're with won't "return the favor" -buying a comfy couch when you forget your anniversary |

i always find contingency easiest to grasp by thinking about the opposite. that is, what it means to be non-contingent. |
